i can see the appointments booked but it says a notification as "One or more receipts have expired. If you cancel this appointment, you will not be able to schedule a new appointment until your application is paid in full" but i paid the fee in August 2023 only so it should be valid till Aug 2024 but why it is telling this? how to resolve this? what to do to cancel the appointments so that i could close the application and start fresh application, please guide & help.

I am applying for B1/B2 visa. I had filled the DS 160 form way back in Oct 2021 but even after numerous tries i did not get an appointment. Today I tried again & at application details page (where they ask for visa class tag journilist/treaty trader/etc), i selected B1/B2. Thanks for posting the video. I am having issue with scheduling the drop off location for my parents visa renewal. Yes, u can. Try to call embassy and ask them to be on safe side. Each consulate has their own house policies.

Yes, u can but it will be hard for u to convince ur visa officer why do u still want to get visa since ur conference has passed. But u should give a try.

I can answer. I also faced the same issue. I already have work visa and try to add my spouse details now, to pay for H4 visa fee and schedule interview. But new CGI portal is not showing any option to add dependents to already existing profiles (I created my CGI profile in 2022). Now I created a new CGI profile for my spouse and it shows the same error "user ID already exists". User ID should be unique and it should not be our email id. so try to keep unique like how we are doing for internet banking user id. I did the same, choosing/creating a unique name (eg: juhishah@2, juhishah@123) as user name. Try it. It works for me.

This statement is from US embassy official website "If you wish to change your interview location, a new form DS-160 is not required. The Embassy or Consulate at which you actually apply can access your form using the barcode on your DS-160 confirmation page, which you must bring to the visa interview. However, accessing a DS-160 submitted to a different location requires extra time, so you may encounter significant delays if you appear for an interview with a DS-160 submitted to a different location. Unfortunately, we are unable to predict the duration of these delays." As per this statement u can do this but it will cost you delay. There is no Exchange Number for F1 unless you’re under exchange visitors student category. Put N/A for exchange number and proceed to next.

Once you select your country on the first page, it will redirect you to the appropriate link for your country's consulate, which is live and operational. If you continuously experience errors, consider trying a different browser for a smoother experience.

Hello, I keep getting the below error while booking a slot, I have submitted my application and entered correct confirmation number. DS-160 format is not recognized. It should be 'AA005', 'AA006', 'AA007', 'AA008', 'AA009', 'AA00A', 'AA00B', or 'AA00C' followed by 5 characters.

Each dependent (spouse and/or child) that requires a U.S. visa must fill out and complete a Form DS-160. They will need individual accounts and they after submitting DS-160, u will request group appointment, if u want to attend interview with u at same time.

@@natrajrbe Yes, each individual (spouse, kids, parents) will go with their own accounts and DS-160. Note: There is a section in the DS160 where you will be asked if any persons are traveling with you. Put in the names and relation to you in this space. Each person needs to mention the names and relation of all the other relatives traveling together. Please note that this is not the same as traveling as a group, there is an option where the form asks,”Are you traveling as a part of a group or organization”. Say no to this, if it is just family members traveling together.

Email to consulate support desk and see if they can help you. Otherwise when you’ll go to your interview at that time you can ask them to correct it.

Is it just me not getting the verification codes? I asked at least 5 of my friends to try with theirs and still not getting the code. Of course, i checked the spam folder :)

What type of visa you’re applying for? If it’s F1 visa just put N/A for exchange number and proceed to next.

Hi brother by mistake i wrote given name in surname and surname in given name, How it can be correct, I made another profile with correct name but not able to create file , Massage coming that details matched with database..

What do you mean by that? First you’ll have to file DS-160 and then you’ll schedule your appointment thru your embassy appointment dedicated portal.

After we pay the visa fee can we change the ds 160 number??

@@AditiSharma-bx5uq Yes I did. It is the program number mentioned in your I-20 or DS-2019. I filled it in the month of February, so very recent. I checked with the US consulate customer care.

The number format containing any characters like '-' is not acceptable, including program numbers like C-1-2222. Could you please confirm the correct format for filling?
