How-To Body Mount Chop | N70 HILUX

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Finally getting around to doing my body mount chop.
1 like = 1 R.I.P. to my GoPro :'(
This ended up being super easy to do, I wasn't able to get footage off-road because of the QLD lockdown but I will get some in a future video very soon!

Technically changes to the chassis would require engineering and a mod plate in order to get a roadworthy.

I can’t remember what brand, I borrowed it off a mate but just any basic mig that runs gas would do, something around 120-160 amp would suffice. And looking easy has more to do with the bloke swinging off the end of it rather than the welder

I’m definitely no expert on welders but I’m pretty sure they will all have an earth cable. The current has to pass through the material somehow.

“Not doing this to my car as not road legal” yet at start of the video explains how your doing a mount chop to your car cause it’s rubbing 😆😆 it is legal as it’s to not cause any rubbing of driving components plus if you weld it up properly and paint it nicely no one would know anyway
