    Your summer series convinced me to bushwack 2d sonar back 7 lakes into the brush here in southern ontario on a canoe camping trip. Without it and all the tips you shared I wouldn't have caught so many wild lake trout! Thanks!

    I do exactly like Josh does but with a single hook. Always do a limit. Many fishes lost. It will be better with treble hooks. I use Josh's jig heads and silicone. Should try a spoon next time. 85' is the best depth i would say. It will work even without spot-lock on a quite day. My 2D fish finder does not help at all, it is basically not required if you find right spot via Navionics.Fishing lake trout and ouananiche in US is so much more convenient in all aspects vs QC.

    Colt Sniper jigging spoons are a staple of mine. Upgrading the hook with a bladed treble helps when winding up, getting them to chase.

    Thanks for your great videos! I’m a new subscriber, I live in Utah and I fish Flaming Gorge. We catch lots of big lakers trolling 25-40lbs. I’m going to get more into Jigging and you have some great ideas and baits that seem to work well. I’ve mostly used white tube jigs and have had some success but I think I will give some of your wing tubes a try. Wear your sunscreen! Thanks, Bob

    Do you set the hook as it loads after it loads or by sight on live scope

  • @BendItFishing

    @BendItFishing

    28 күн бұрын

    So when blind jigging, when I snap it up it's basically setting the hook. If it's on the chase it's a feel thing the rod gets slightly heavier so then I set the hook

    How did you know to start blind jigging at that edge? Did you find the fish on sonar first or just go to a known productive spot?

    Back again second question why do you strip line while fitting a fish next question rare to hear your drag untill you lighten durring a fit then soon you tighten how critical to manage drag

  • @BendItFishing

    @BendItFishing

    28 күн бұрын

    So the drag is just to protect the weakest connection in the rod system. Usually one of the knots. Using 15# test and a FG knot, which won't break the weakest is the polomar tied to the hook which is also like 97% strength. Most people can't even put that much pressure even 12 # on a fish which is why my drag doesn't move
