How to bleach your roots to White blonde without breakage - hair tutorial

Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Hey Everyone! Thank you all so much for joining me for this video! Today i'll be going over how I apply Bleach Roots to my bleach out clients. This client has naturally light hair (level 8) so we used a very lightweight developer on her.
This video is great for anyone wanting to learn how to do bleach roots but are scared to break the hair off (because lets be honest, its a high risk service)
The methods I am showing in this video are what I do almost every time I bleach someone's roots. Every client has their own variations, but this is the safest way you can do bleach roots (in my opinion)
This video includes tips, tricks, formulas, and toners.
please keep in mind that even though I do curly hair, I am not an expert on curly hair styling. I am still learning as I don't have many curly hair clients who want to leave with their natural texture (they usually prefer a blow out or straightening)
this is a method I saw being used on tik tok and it had great results! my client felt like her hair looked like it was going to air dry the rest of the way very nicely (and we let it air dry because my next client came in and we ran out of time to show the completely dried version of her hair. but at least at the end of the video you get to see what her colour looked like which is the most important thing anyways and how her hair looks as its air drying)

Beautiful bleached root, love the very neet application👏🏻 And ive seen that stylingtechnic with twisting the curls, but ive not tried it put yet. I often put some products i the hair then put them under the dryer and let it dry, then just scrunch it up a bit . Works good too 😍👌🏻

Your sectioning technique is a godsend. I have been bleaching my own hair and no video shows in detail like this how to section the back of the head! I really want to try your technique! At 2:52 I can't believe how clean you move through those sections! I wish I could do the back of my own head like this!

If you use a rat tail comb, it’s easier to get a slice in the back, BUT you don’t want to overlap and it’s difficult to not overlap, which WILL cause breaking. When you bleach hair there is a lot that goes into calculating whether it should be done or not. The “baby hairs” around the face , and the nape (neck) area should be done last . If you’re doing it for the first time, you have to consider what you’ve been doing to it before and depending on the texture your hair , braiding ,especially micro or tight braids, braids or what someone thinks is a “protective style “ that’s left in more than a week, in the same pattern more than a week, a ponytail or bun in the same place all the time, BOX COLOR 🤢🤢, a lot of flat ironing , or hot comb, blow drying a lot , etc. It all matters before bleaching. And bleaching should be done with the shaft (middle ) first , ends , and then roots, the head is scalp is warm, so it will process faster . But your can NOT overlap . Also you can add a Sally’s version of the protectant into the bleach. I’ve gotten a level 1-2(color) , 4b/c (curl pattern) to a white .platinum blonde . But this hair hasn’t been blowdried but maybe once a year. It’s trimmed every 6 weeks. Has had NO box color ever. It’s not in braids or ponytails that are in the same pattern/ areas more this a week. Is washed regularly. Oils on the scalp are ok, but a lot of oils on the shaft can actually prevent moisture from absorbing from the conditioners , especially curly hair . You have to clarify the hair and deep condition, rinse in cold water . Even the sun on your hair can be damaging . Heat damage can come from many ways . Hot water, the sun, flat iron, blow dryer, a hooded dryer , etc.

I was mesmerized by her sectioning 😂 idk if you’re still bleaching your roots, but if so, I would definitely recommend buying or making a 3-way mirror! I made my own using those cheap square mirrors from walmart and some hinges. I hang it on the wall and adjust the positions of the two outer mirrors when I do my roots. Absolutely a game changer!

I learned that by myself. I would notice that the old bleach in the bowl wouldn't lift the last parts I would use it on. So I refresh the bowl as well. I pour very little and finish it, then add more to keep using fresh bleach. I also switch it every 10 minutes or when it looks like it puffed up almost developed already. Very true indeed.

Just put the product in your hand and rake it true the hair and scrunch let it dry for a bit before diffusing to reduce the frizz

Something I always wondered. If you have white hair and you always keep going back to touch up your roots, how are you going to be able to do that without parts of the old previously bleached hair getting some of the freshly applied bleach on itself, so that there's a small part where (being already white) the hair will be bleached (in order to achieve the colour white) one more time, without this being necessary? Won't it risk the hair snapping off, very close to the scalp??

Is it safe for hair to leave bleach for 90 minutes? I want to bleach my all hair at home (medium brown) with blonde bleach kit and it says "leave for 90 minutes". I bleached only front strands but leaved it for about 40 minutes. What do you think??

maybe dont tone the ends first since they are overtoned and start roots first? the ends look dull, compared to the roots...

thats understandable but sometimes the ends get more yellow than the roots and need the extra time and power with the toners.

To me it looks that add more unnecessary work and double the amount of bleach.. which multiply by time should ruining hair.

Never comb curly hair after take the conditioner out. If u want to leave the hair curly and not blow it out straight, u comb the hair when conditioner is in. Rinse out. Towel dry. Put serums in. Leave in conditioners.. Lots of moose or gel. Then use a defuser while scrunching hair. It will come out beautiful. I've had curly hair my whole life and I usually wear it curly. Combing hair is combing the curls out. What u did with the comb is making her hair very flat at the roots and combined g the curl out. Ur twisting the hair. No need for that. If the tangles are all out after conditioning, which they should be because u combed it while condition is in it...no need to comb it again. The idea is to comb curly hair as little as possible when ur doing a curly hairstyle that is.

I’ve been learning how to do curly hair in the last couple years and I agree. Usually I would comb her hair out and cut then take her back to the sink to rehydrate and recondition her hair then curly style, but we ran out of time for this tutorial so I had to do it all at once
