Hello, as a professional I recommend you start bleaching at the back of the head using a 10 volume developer without olaplex 1. The blondeme bleach already contains a bond builder, so adding olaplex 1 will slow down the lifting process. When you reach the top of the head switch to a 20 volume developer. Ensure hair is fully saturated and avoid overlapping. Process for 40 minutes with cap. Do not wash or rinse hair. Apply a new batch of 20 volume bleach, but start at the front and work your way to the back. Cross check your work that you don’t miss anything. Check the elasticity of the hair to ensure it doesn’t stretch like rubber. Continue to process the hair until you reach pale yellow level 9. Now shampoo hair and use olaplex step 2, for 10-20 minutes. Rinse well, towel dry and apply a demi-permanent toner with 10 volume or 6 volume developer. Toner should be a level 10 ash violet/pearl to achieve cool platinum. You can also add olaplex 1 to the toner for additional treatment. Hope this helps, your hair is beautiful! 💕

As an experienced hairstylist, you can actually achieve level 10 in just 1 session by leaving the bleach longer or until it is level 10 (only for root bleach retouch) by adding more bleach every 20 minutes. It is less damaging compared to bleaching it 3 sessions. 😘

You think that (I did) however after having that happen to me, you accept it and move on. I lost some hair 2 years ago from about 4 inches from my roots it just chipped off without me noticing until a day or two later when I was brushing my hair and applying a keratin spray that I noticed a big section shorter than the rest. I did NOT wash my hair for over 7 days, it took about a week to even start to get it's oils back. Thankfully I don't have an oily head so I can go 5 days without washing it without my hair smelling or being oily. I have bleached it, and dyed it soo much that I can't wash my hair everyday without damaging it.

I watched this video 2 months ago and now I have platinum blonde hair. Thank you for the tips. I have level 2 hair and I had to bleach at least 2 times with 30 vol and did bleach baths 3 more times to achieve pale yellow before toning. I want to go silver but I'm resting my hair. Came back here to prepare for the bleaching session. For anyone who's reading this, good luck on your hair and patience is key. Well, Sometimes.

But me I have really thick hair and I dye my own hair blonde too but I don’t have much that falls out, nor did I have that problem during pregnancy like some women experience.

hi, trained colorist here! another thing that might be causing banding might be that your hair isn't clean. i understand that putting bleaching on a dirty scalp might help with the irritation, but the oils and products built up in your hair from several days without washing might be part of the cause as to why your hair isn't lighting enough as the bleach has to go through dissolving all the product (as you should ALWAYS be using heat protection on the very least if you're applying heat to your hair. especially already color treated hair !!) and oils before penetrating the shaft. you're slowing down the process not by much, but really does make difference with yellowing. i would advice doing on hair that has been washed the night before instead, so you have some oil coating the scalp, but not too much on the roots and shaft. also, she didn't use it here but i know a lot of other people do -- if you can, avoid using a hairdryer to speed up the process and stick to foils/aluminum paper to guard the heat instead. i find using a hairdryer leaves the hair more brittle in the end.

Using Olaplex actually causes the developed strength to descrease by 10vol. So if you use 20 vol with Olaplex, it actually only processes as 10 vol, so you end up doing it three times. You may as well just use 20 vol without Olaplex (the difference isn’t that major, trust me) and do it once or maybe twice.

I'm going to give you a few tips I have learnt over the years that may help u... The higher the peroxide strength the more warmth it will throw off as ur speeding up the process. Drop to a 20 vol for ur second bleach and allow it to process longer and u will get a cleaner lift (less warmth). Use olaplex step 2 on the mids to protect not step 1. It's thicker and still has the bonding agent but being thicker will act as a better buffer if the bleach touches it. Use a cap after u have bleached sprayed with water on the inside before placing over the head. The water will steam up from the heat in the bleach and keep the heat trapped so the bleach keeps lifting. Remember when air is exposed to bleach it loses power so keep heat there. Start at the back of ur head as it lifts slower than the tops and even use a 20 vol in that first round but use the 30 by the time u start at the front so it has time to catch up and lift evenly. Ur using a great bleach but u can add in that extra olaplex step 1 and that way u can use the step 2 after washing out the bleach and give some protection for that second round of bleach ur about to endure. Beside that ur amazing and so well informed I praise u for that and u have done amazingly considering ur bleached ur hair 3 times. Just remember this tip I go by. 20 will lift as much as 30 as long as u can keep the bleach activated and u will avoid unnecessary warmth and damage. Just incubate it and keep it moist. A runnier bleach mix is better than thicker.. 🥰🥰🥰

Honestly its all about what hair you have. I'm while but I have very thick, "hard" hair and I've been dying it constantly for 5 years, always at home expect two times and my hair is shiny and pretty. Currently it's long to my waist but I want it to reach under my butt. Last time I bleached it, I did it twice in one day with stronger bleach because I wanted white hair and also get rid of my blue dye and I didnt use any oil or conditioner after it because I was honestly lazy and I woke up will whiny soft hair, actually it felt better than when I use conditioners. Because of that I also stopped using so much product on my hair (because I dye my hair so often I was obsessed with using hair masks, oils, conditioners, homemade cures, I've got hair botox done, almost everything) and they always ended up being dry because I put too much chemicals in it. So now I only done few oils and sul8free shampoo (but only every second wash) and I dont wash my hair for 3-5 days and my hair looks amazing

really? I bleach my hair every 6 months, wash it 1 time per week with sulfate free shampoo and have never experienced any type of breakage but dryness... well that is an issue let me tell you, yo should try living proof products, the best ones for repairing damaged hair and shea moisture products for deeply condition, try mixing your shampoo and hair mask with blue or purple powder food coloring so that you can eliminate brasiness or if you find a good sulfate free commercial purple shampoo It would work as well even though I don´t really like them as they will disrupt your scalp and make you lose hair

profeshional here: i personally dont like the idea of the diluted olaplex all over your hair. if youre just putting it on your ends then i think its okay but if you get any on your black roots it will prevent it from lifting because of the water. i much prefer the method of oil on your ends like coconut oil. because it cant stop bleach by any means. i also recommend making your bleach formula a little more "wet" that usual. because bleach stops working when dry. and i recommend keeping the bleach on longer. ive left bleach on for 2 hours at a time, it works. I do understand your situation was different bc of banding. also toning SHOULD NOT be damaging. if youre hair feels dry from toning then try a different one. my personal fav is redken. my personal favorite mix is 9v +8t diluted w water plus their processing solution. my hair feels SOFTER after it. regardless its your hair and have fun with it!!

yeah but if you want to maintain light or dyed hair, you need to keep up with your roots. with asian hair, it's very difficult to bleach when you have overgrown roots and the hair will not lighten enough. as she said, the hair near your scalp processes faster. i guess you could keep the roots dark if you're deciding to not dye/lighten your hair anymore and you're just growing it out but otherwise it's a necessary chore to keep up with your roots

Glad you are sharing your knowledge and not just dying it and making dumb teen girls think you are doing everything right without a warning. Seem some girls do that, poor teenagers that watch those videos and think that is what you should do when dying your hair.

Hi hun! I'm a hairdresser and I want you to know where was your mistake. The second bleach on wet hair! Water is on lv7 ph which is alkaline , bleach is very alkaline if you put your bleach in a wet hair it makes it very alkaline which will fry your hair , peroxide especially a lower volt is acidic next time dry your hair before second bleach and try a very low peroxide 5-10 vol. max (1.5%-2%) for the second bleach 👌🏼 good luck! You have a very beautiful hair do not ruin it 🤩

try a rinsage technique: -dark brown/blue black hair dye preferably dark hair color - shampoo - 20 developer before u shower. take a small amount of hair dye like a quarter size and a quarter size of developer in a cup. dilute it 3/4 of the way with a mixture of shampoo and water. don't make it too liquidy. then make sure your hair is wet and then pour it on little by little saturating it in the shower. have a mirror or phone on you to visibly see the color change, once you see it toned rinse off. toned hair but little damage :) i learned this somewhere and don't see it talked about and it's a game changer. you create your own toner in a way. it helps a lot with orange hair. you can also experiment with different undertones depending on which blonde shade you might want. i.e. warmer blondes go for more golden brown shades and vice versa.

Hi i'm hairdresser in France . Dont use olaplex with the blondme powder & develloper , it already content '' plex '' and dont need more . I think u can try to bleach your hair with 20 vol because if u use 30 or 40 vol , the hair ligthning to fast and block on yellow , it''s better for have a god blonde to use low develloper like 10 or 20 but on asian hair i prefer use 20 vol

The before and after picture here the before picture definitely looks so much better. I don’t know why I just does. I mean her natural color is dark. It looks better with her eyes even if it’s just a root showing then when you do an Asian person blonde their features don’t pop out so I like the roots and it looks so good.
