Funny thing years ago I found some bleach spots on one of my favorite tops so instead of getting bummed I took a q-tip with some bleach and made them into flowers then carried it over much of the top. I wore that top until it was thread bare. I think if you’re going to spray sprinkles over the shirts it would be nice to also carry the design over it so it looks intentionally unintentional:) for example maybe put a flower on the front pocket of a shirt you put a flower stencil on the back of or carry some parts of the stencil over part of the shoulder or down the arm then someone isn’t seeing bleach splotches in the front that maybe never sees the beautiful print on the back. Just some thoughts to your fun project.

WOW!!😍😍 JUST WOW!! THE JEAN JACKET AND ZEBS SHIRT!! YOU 2 HAVE DONE IT AGAIN 🥰😍🥰
I always am amazed at how u guys just jump in and try things - in front of hundreds of people no less - ur so inspiring. Thanks so much for sharing ☺
I love watching an experiment! How cool was that!
You guyssss stop now I'm going to annoy my husband with another project. 🤣 jk he supports my craziness 😄
You can spray hairspray on the back of the stencil to help the stencil stay in place and not bleed on the stencil design
I have been around long enough to see the bleach trend come & go several times, however, I have to say this particular method of application is brilliant! LOVE it!! Hmm....... I see a crafting afternoon with my grandchildren coming up (they are teens!!) thank you so much for sharing!!
I have a couple shirts with stains - I think this would be a great way to camouflage the stains!
Use spray quilt basting spray on the stencil to hold it in place and use a spray mister for a controlled Mist. Works beautifully.
These are so fun! And Zeb makes a great model. He’s such a good sport.
Thanks for trying something new and working out the kinks for us!
Appreciate you guys showing the process to kinda see the bad a good and what might work..
A little hint I did.. I put some blue iris in a spray bottle and spristed my tanks after.. it turned out cool ,my grand daughter & daughters loved them... Thank you for sharing. I love new ideas..

You two are amazing as always and thank you for giving us ways to extend the use of our tools!
My 2 cents: do some w paint rather than bleach (I know, it's the trend) and raise back stencil a bit higher. Your logo would look great on these as well! Ps. Rinse the bleach from the bottles after use--or it's one time use.
This will be GOLD with my custom stencil I got from etsy seller! Whoooo!
Your ingenuity is amazing. So simple yet so effective. Really like these.
Great idea y'all. First time I have seen bleach and stencils used on clothes.
Guess what my daughter and I are doing this weekend? Great idea and another great excuse to visit a thrift store.
couples that bleach together stay together LOLOL fun project for sure :)

Awesome!
what a fun way to update old flannels.
Ohmygoodness back in the 70s in Girl Scouts we did something very similar to one of our dad's work shirts and we wore them to a huge swap meet. We thought we were so groovy! We used bleach, qtips, and rubber bands for a tie dye effect. Back then we had to save the rubber bands off the newspaper. So fun! Y'all did a great job!!!
I am so excited to se this!
I have been wanting to try this!!! Now when my daughter in law do it we'll know what we're doing thanks to you two!!! Great video!! ❤
This is so cool! I’m going to have to try it, I love all of them, but the sweat shirt is my favorite 😍

I love them!!!! What a great idea with the stencils! Doing this 🤗
These look cool! I like them without the distressing too. I’m wondering about the way bleach eats through fabric. Won’t there be holes after a few washings? Or did you neutralize the bleach somehow?

You can soak them in peroxide before you wash them. It will neutralize the bleach.

Be sure to neutralize the bleach. 1 part peroxide to ten parts water. Once it looks the way you want neutralize it
Good job Zeb they look awesome!!!!!!!!
Dang it! Now you gave me a new craft to do. You could try mixing the bleach with baking soda and dab it on with a stencil brush. That might give you more control of the bleach.

Very cool!
Hello from Italy. The Bleach stenciled shirts are great!!! I am wondering if any type of dye can be added to the Bleach to stencil White shirts?
The sweatshirt is my favorite
Stamps can also be used with bleach. Use baby wipes or paper towel to make bleach "ink" pad in a shallow dish or cool whip container top. Comes you really cool on dark fabric or cardstock!

On nice!
Cool technique 😊 I like it best without the splatter all over the shirts. TFS
Liked the video I use Hydrogen peroxide to stop the bleach that’s the only thing that will stop it I did several shirts that I can figure out why they kept getting lighter and lighter and that was a reason, found out that hydrogen peroxide interacts with the bleach and stop it. I put bottle of how peroxide and a gallon of cold water and dump the shirt. I did one shirt and didn’t know how to stop the bleach at that time and it ate a hole in the shirt.
What a cute idea. Only thing I would worry about is the bleach burning a hole in the material.

Those shirts look awesome. I think they would look better without all of the sprayed bleach around the tub and the droplet marks

Could you use a bleached soaked rag to sponge on top of the stencil for better control and saturation?
@JamiRayVintage
2 жыл бұрын
Maybe, when I was using the damp paper towel that I sprayed first it wasn’t absorbing into the fabric as much. Some people use bleach pens
Is that strength bleach or deputed with water?
