Hey Dat I'm totally in your debt mate. I bought this kit last year and didn't know what the hell D8 and D 16 was and thought I'd bought the wrong controller. I even bought a new rtx to go on the quad to make it work with my lite radio 2. All I had to do was go through the process of switching it over to D8 and the bind process worked great. Can't thank you enough. I look forward to many minutes of crashing now 🤣 thankyou so much.

after i plug in the batteries is flashes red, blue and green for 5seconds and then only red, when i click the bind button it doesnt react :(((

Fyi The first button on top is vtx button use for unlock 25 mw to real 200mw vtx.

if you press that button and power the quad - its the boot button.. it puts the quad in dfu mode for flashing firmware.

NO CABLE COMES WITH THE DRONE / EMAX QUADS... AT ALL... EVER... I BUY DIRECT FROM EMAX MYSELF, NO CABLE SUPPLIED.

I have a problem with my tinyhawk2, I binded it with the radio, and on betaflight I can see the switches and input actions as gas, yaw pitch and roll working, I also added the arm control, and other 2 as I see in videos, but then, if I power it up with the radio binded it doesn't fly, althought the leds blink wile giving inputs from the radio (that shows that the binding is correct) the props don't spin, it is not working.... can you help??

You can also take a complete "how to become a total nerd just to make a drone fly"! It is a 12 year course and then you might eventually be looking at the possibility of joining the hobby!

There are two screws on the side loosen them move the angle then tighten them again hope this helps😁

Hey man, I bound it to the beta FPv controller, however, the switches are reversed, the top left one needs to be flicked down to start the drone (turn the props on).

I’ve tryed this for afew hours now and I’m not getting any where. I don’t know if this is my controller or what but it won’t bind. It’s the betafpv

I have it bind to the tiny hawk 2 but the switch on the Betafpv literadio 2 se controller aren’t working properly the beeper is working on the right top switch I think when it’s clicked either once or twice it starts the beeper on the drone so the switches aren’t working other than getting the beeper on the drone engage one of the switches on the right side I can’t get the motors to start up or anything but it must be bound because it’s letting the drone beep can you tell me what to do using the Betafpv light radio 2 se?

@@Datfpv Oh, I see my confusion. I was searching for the stick ends for the Lite Radios when I should have been looking for Taranis stick ends. That explains it all. And I appreciate the link but "Stock: Out of Stock". Besides I'm in California. I'll search for that here. Again, thank you for your time and help... And clearing up my confusion.

I have the lite radio 2 and I have it binded and it’s connecting but when I go to arm the qwad it doesn’t do anything and the led lights start flashing. Osd of my googles say throttle when it supposed to be armed but nothing is happening

Hi - sounds like something is a miss.. have you done anything to it or is this the first time? - make sure your betaflight version is upto date... when you connect to betaflight does the 3d image move when you move the hawk?

Hi, i have same quad and buy this radio. But after Radiomaster t16s, quad controled by betafpv lite radio turns twice faster. In simulator i have same problem. Stick travel both radios almost the same. Rates - dont changes. Whats its can be?

it must be something to do with the stick travel, and gimbals it must be, if everything else is the same..

I cannot get this quad to bind to the LiteRadio2 SE (new version) in D8 protocol no matter what I do. I have tried different firmwares in betaflight, have reset to orginal stock settings. The radio blinks three times confirming it's in D8, but for whatever reason, the quad refuses to bind to D8. It will only bind to D16, but emax does not recommend D16. I have no idea how to get this thing to bind to D8.

hey - I haven't got the SE version as yet, but I don't think it would be that different so it should bind ok... does the controller bind to other quads? is it just the freestyle? have you done th cli command lind to try and bind it? have you messed a setting up flashing firmware?

Same issue here. Betaflight recognizes the tinyhawk 2 but no bind. Protocol 8 on the se. Would love some help. Thanks for your videos!

Thanks for the reply! I am seeing the issue now is that neither the bind_rx on cli nor the bind button change any lights on the tinyhawk 2. It remains red and blue flashing. So the radio can’t bind anyway. Betaflight recognizes the drone though. motors turn, etc.

@@jeremyblattner7933 so it must be bound, but you had a set-up issue in betaflight, - connect the controller and see if things move in the receiver tab - also if you have it connected via usb it won't arm.

Can you bind that controller with the emax tinyhawk the 1s brushless. I bought the kit but I want to upgrade my radio

Hey man! Question!? I was flying my tinyhawk freestyle 2 and crashed and broke that connector for the camera ON THE FC side I tried to direct solder to the board without the connector but those got ripped off again! And it was a pain to solder! I’ve heard it’s a known issue!:/ is there any other pads I can solder those 3 wires to? Which is the yellow wire signal I believe and positive and negative? Any input would be greatly appreciated! If not I won’t have FPV and would only have to fly LOS:/

Hi man, don't sound good to me :( I know there are pads for adding your own receiver on the board, you might be able to make them do the cam in betaflight? if you can or not I'm really not sure to be honest with you :( worth a google though...

I just reseaved my tinyhawk and that controller and I was pressing that small button on the top and it wasnt working lol no wonder why and also i was trying to take my 1s lipo out and the wired came out of the connector and now its broke. Is there a certain way u gotta put them in?

Hi - glad the vid helped, the batteries do have a correct way to be put in, they have marks and groves on them and should only go in one way anyway.

Hi - the controller and hawk pretty much come set-up but you do need to check things are correct and working - the main think with the controller is the 'receiver' tab in betaflight make sure the sticks are doing the correct thing, see my video: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aY6Jx4-sc5rTnbg.html

is this you killing the throttle? - if iyt arms and flies things are working.. without seeing what is happening and your complete set-up it will be impossible to say what is happening.

What quad do you have? - if you are having issues connecting to beatflight its normally a driver issue on your computer... on the start-up screen of betaflight there are links to the drives needed / and download links.

I've got the same quad and controller as you. I was using the drivers from silLabs and using the other link fixed it. I can bind but now I just get constant beeping from the drone. The blink patterns change though when I flip switches

Awesome video. Question. I literally just recieved my THF2. I'm trying to bind it to my lite radio 2 but everytime I push and hold the bind and power button it just flashes rapidly on the controller but it's not binding to the THF2. I have a solid blue light and throttle is down. Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi - the radio needs to be in d8 mode, you press the bind button on the bottom of the hawk, then the bind button on the back of the radio, you'll notice lights change on the hawk.. disconnect the battery from the hawk, then put the battery in again - see if its connected it shoiuld be... if it doesn't arm it will be some other issue - you will see the red light flash if you move switches on your radio... check out my other vids for more info etc, thanks

Erm...My Tinyhawk Freestyle 2 came with a USB cable to charge the controller and headset battery. I wasted a good few minutes trying to connect it to my PC with that cable. I am currently having a really weird argument with Bangood who sent me the wrong replacement controller for my EZ Pilot. I know its the wrong controller because it binds to the Freestyle after I followed your instructions and it has an aerial and the EZ pilot controller does not. Any idea if it is possible to flash a normal Emax controller to work with an EZ Pilot or where I can get a EZ Pilot controller quickly?

you mean the ready to fly kit - this vid is about the single quad... not the kit - all their single quads don't come with cables.

hey mate, I have a problem wirth the new aio board and xm+ I just installed in my quad. Radio and receiver are bound up but nothing shows up in betaflight transmitter tab :( In the Config I set it to serial receiver and sbus (the xm+ is wired to sbus as well of course) and I tried both uart 1 and uart 2 with no success.. Any Ideas on what I can try?
