@@Datfpv I subbed! Got my BETAFPV Transmitter and Tinyhawk Freestyle 2 today. Followed this guide to the dot but when I check the Transmitter out in BetaFlight the Throttle, Pitch, Yaw and Roll are all tied to the wrong stick. 😕 any advice?

Awesome video! Keep up the good work for us noobs. Question... just recieved my TH2F and light radio 2. I'm getting a solid blue light but still flashing red light. The TH2F wont connect to betaflight. The controller wont bind. If you have any ideas on how to fix this I would greatly appreciate it.

thanks man - make sure your controller is the FRSKY one else it won't work - if it is make sure it is in D8 mode 3 pink flashes - and bind through betaflight if all is good it will bind. Betaflight connection issues are due to you computer drivers, open betaflight and on the start-up screen there are links and help to download what you need.

I like all of these videos but I need to find out how to get this thing to stop taking off on its own. The second it lifts off the ground it just darts off in any random direction with no control other than up and down.

Hi - if this is the kit you bought: betafpv.com/products/fpv-whoop-racing-starter-kit-2 It is Bayang controller and will not work with emax or any other frsky receiver based quads. taken from their website: Beta65S Lite is in a Bayang protocol, and the default version of Literaido2 in this starter kit is Bayang.

Need help please....I have this drone bound to t8sg is it possible to get rssi value in goggles (osd) the goggles are little pilot.

Would this setup work great with the betafpv VR02 goggles? Im looking for the perfect beginner setup and I really like this one.

I think you could start on this no problems at all, and it sounds like you might of flown something before anyway? There other ones like the tinyhawk S - which is a great complete starter, but you might out grow it quickly.

I would personally go with the TinyHawk II or S if you’ve never flown before. I started on the original TinyHawk which is 1S. I’ve flown other people’s 5” quads and the original freestyle and I still really enjoy my TinyHawk. It’s only been a couple of weeks but I started flying in acro mode and I’m going to tune the rates when I get new props in

Mine shows solid blue light for being connected but nothing happens after is connected?

Hi - if it is bound which it sounds like it is, you need to arm it by turning one of your switches on, check these out in the modes tab in betaflight.

I know you did a review on the beater flight and the tiny hawk ii freestyle Since I am new to this is there any way you can do a Beta flight tutorial on the betafpv lite radio transmitter 2

I fixed all my settings, but I still have one more problem... All my controls are in the wrong places, my throttle is on the left, when it's supposed to be on the right. Only yaw is in its right place. How do I fix my controls???

I recently just purchased the betafpv radio lite 2 controller. I binder the controller to the tiny hawk 2 which went well. I could not take off due to throttle error. I later plugged in the controls into beta flight and realized the throttle is on the right stick from left to right motion. Which explains why it wouldn’t let me take off at half throttle. I then configured the remote in TX companion and it says that I am on the right mode which is “stick mode 2” still the controls have not changed once saving the settings. I also tried stick mode 1 but same results. Am I missing something? Is there a reason why the controls are setup differently?

Hi - you need to change / adjust the channel map, this should solve your problem, check out my other vid: kzread.info/dash/bejne/fIp_z5icc5ixmbw.html time: 5:00 change the channel map letters and this should sort it for you - hit that subscribe!

Waiting for my freestyle 2 to arrive. I have the same radio. Also waiting for a Mobula 6 HD to play indoors. Simulator for now. What do you think of your stick upgrade?

You'll love it, I always like the hawks, the stick ends work for me and give me better stick feel and movement, if you get some make sure you install them correctly and it doesn't stop the full stick / gimbal travel though...

Hey bro, I have a problem with the beta FPV 2 controller I thought you had to push the set up button and the power button to get it to change protocol, and now the controller is all messed up when I was flying my hawk pro it acted as if it was flying erotic like it was in acro mode instead of angle mode. what do I do to get the controller configured back to working in stable position, an whatever I did by pushing set up and power then binding power did something trying to find the protocol because the controller is acting weird now. any help I would appreciate it!

Please help! My radio out of the box was registering the right stick as throttle. Pushing left on the right stick being 0 and left on the right stick being max!? Now I can’t even get it to bind.

hi, check my other vid out : kzread.info/dash/bejne/fIp_z5icc5ixmbw.html around 5:00 time - it explains what you have to do with the channel map. Also make sure your radio is on the correct protocal - it should be d8 for the tinyhawk freestyle - 3 flashes.

I followed instructions on the Tinyhawk freestyle 1 (after pressing boot button first few times pre-video) but still in D8 can’t get a bind, any advice?

if you do have the se version, it might need a firmware update, I've heard of that issue. Or maybe you have the bind and it won't arm because of your stick positions, they need to be in the correct place for the quad to arm: kzread.info/dash/bejne/aY6Jx4-sc5rTnbg.html

Hi, I have a Tinyhawk 2 RTF (not the freestyle) and could bind it with my BetaFPV Lite Radio 2. I also wanted to connect to BetaFlight Configurator as you did at 3:40 to see the meaning of each switch, but could not find out how to connect. I connected the radio via USB to my macbook pro, I clicked "Connect" but nothing seems to happen (tried both /dev/tty.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port and /dev/cu.Bluetooth-Incoming-Port) can you help? Thanks.

Hi! - you need to connect the tinyhawk quad to your computer, not the radio! - once you have the quad connected (make sure you take the props off) connect a battery to the quad and then turn the radio on - actually don't put a battery in the quad first it may show the connected radio without a battery in the quad... try that - don't forget to subscribe! thanks

YES FROM WHAT i CAN SEE IN THE SPEC FOR IT IT HAS / SUPPORTS: Frsky D16/D8

I connected it to beta flight everything works but when I move the throttle up a little bit all of the motors go as fast as they can but when I move the throttle all the way down they don’t stop also there is no acro mode

acro mode is not really a mode, just don't have horizontal or ange mode active and you're in acro. whist you are connected to betaflight the motors do do strange things I'd actually try it properly if its all set-up.

that is what they do, the motors should spin without the quad lifting off, and then you will use the throttle to take off.?

have you even got the prop on? motors again act differently with and without props. try to fly the thing...

@@Datfpv I tried it with the props and moved the throttle up a little bit and it took off then I moved the throttle down and it didn’t stop so I disarmed it I’m sorry for asking so many question I just don’t understand why this is happening

Hey brother, have Betafpv start kit & just got Emax Tinyhawk II but can't fig how to bind w/Lite radio. When I hold bind & pwr on lite turns from green to red but never flashes. Have had wire come loose on both radio and quad. do you think radio fd up

Hi - your starter kit controller may not be FRSKY - the controllers need to be the frsky ones else they will not work with the tiny hawks at all...

The controllers basically all look the same, but I do thin the one that comes with the starter kit is the bayang one... you should have a manual? that would say?

I'm not sure if it's just my tinyhawk freestyle 2 but when I arm my quad the video static increases and I get about 20 feet out and the video signal blacks out. My transmitter seems to cause more interference and I know the vtx is unlocked. I'm not sure if I should just try and return it.

hey.. video noise does happen and can be caused by a whole lot of different things, loose antenna, bad stack mounting, rubbing on the carbon frame, bad capacitor connection? etc you could be chasing a ghost... if its that bad and you have unlocked the I would consider taking it back... one thing to check first though, are you goggles on the right band / channel???

the one in the vid is the original version when they first released it... you must have some colours else it isn't working? - is the battery connected, is it charged?

so when its off you hold the bind button on the back at the same time hold down the power button, let go of the power button after it buzzes - keeping hold of the bind button still... then pink / purple flash let go of the bind button.. that should work to change protocols ? and repeat for other ones, all when the thing is off so switch it off then repeat

Nice vid man! I have one question: do you have to put the board in dfu mode to be able to flash a version of betaflight?

sometimes betaflight will do this for you when it flashes, if you can put it in dfu mode do that if beta can't some do some don't.

Hi - I would always check betaflight to make sure everything is all working ok, radio controller inputs etc etc, always check everything is ok before a flight.

I made a big MISTAKE...I restored or updated the firmware (not really sure) and now all my settings a messed up, betaflight can't even find my gyro. Can anyone help me in anyway to fix my setting?? Really would appreciate it.

if it flashes red it probably needs charging - if its solid red there is some kind of problem / error.

if its after you've connected it to tx companion, re-connect it to tx companion and then just disconnect it and see if the controller starts up properly again

or is it simply that your throttle is raised and thats causing the issue - throttle needs to be all the way down.

hey, the radio controller needs to be in d8 mode (3 flashes) you then need the tinyhawk to be in bind mode (press the bind button on the quad) the you need to press the the small bind button on the back of the controller, the controller will only stay in bind for about 10 seconds, so repeat if needed, hope that helps

betaflight config is 10.7.0 - DO NOT flash the tinyhawk - emax set the hawk up pids etc perfectly.

I think I broke mine already (4th battery)... :( I crashed onto gravel at about half speed and now one motor doesn't spin properly any more, I hope it's ''just'' the motor and not an ESC.

ummm mate its all part of this hobby unfortunatelly :( it maybe a loose connection / wire to the ecs board, or you may of pulled one of the esc pads off in the crash, follow those motor wires to the board and see if anything looks strange. you can also connect it to betaflight and check each motor output in the motors tab - take your props off though!! first

no worries, double check the wires anyway, does the motor smell funny, any dents / marks? you'll probably have to buy a new motor anyway, but if your ok a soldering you could swap a motor to the one that doesn't work and see if that spins, if it doesn't spin then its the esc board, and you'll need to replace that :(

Hi great video.. I bought lite radio 2 and freestyle 2 I'm able to bind but can't seem to arm it.. It's flashing pink light. When I connect to beta flight it's shows receiver and modes everything but can't seem to arm.. Can you please please help me

first things, it won't arm when connected to betaflight - unplug it. Make sure your throttle is all the way down, it won't arm if the throttle is even slightly raised - thats the first thing to check.

when you have it connected to betaflight turn the radio on as well and go to the modes tab, are the switches set up in there? do you see the arm at the top and when you flick the arm switch on the controller does the slider moves

also check the radio controller is on the correct protical - it should flash 3 times (purple) thats the d8 mode the tinyhawks use - and you do have the frsky version of the lite radio?

BUT HELLLPPP! on my radio, Throttle axis seems to be set to pitch, pitch to roll and roll to throttle!! Yaw is ok
