    Beautiful! I just tried for the first time yesterday and I'm hooked! Can I ask how you finish the bottom of the tiles? Do you put some felt circles on the bottom to finish it or do you have another trick to finishing them? Thanks 😊

    Have you used the ink on tumble stone tiles? What kind of sealer spray do you recommend? Thanks Terri

    When your dryer is on low, does that mean it’s cool or warm? My dryer’s low is still hot. Won’t that dry the inks right away? I think I need a dryer with a “cool” setting, no? I love how your tiles came out. Thanks for this demo!!!

    You said you'd show us how to treat it. Is there another video you've done that deals with that, cuz seem to have left that part out. Thanks.

    Can you use a hair dryer on yupo paper?

  • @JudiMichalikPhotography

    @JudiMichalikPhotography

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yes you can but I usually use the heavy Yupo just to make sure it doesn't buckle. Yupo is plastic and it will melt or warp with higher heat. I've been able to use regular yupo with a hair dryer without buckling and Ive also had it buckle if I hold it too close or too long. To be safe, I go to the heavier weight Yupo when I use any type of heat.

    Very pretty result! So what is the advantage of using the 99% as opposed to the 91% alcohol?

  • @JudiMichalikPhotography

    @JudiMichalikPhotography

    4 жыл бұрын

    Hi Maria! Each % of isopropyl give you a slightly different effect. I find that 99% dries slightly faster than 91% and therefore gives me a stringier, more feathery result which works well for this bloom. If I'm doing a bloom with really wide petals that I want to have a really smooth finish, I will use 91% or even a combination of 91% with a few drops of blending solution in it.

    I’ve been trying to use some silver or gold on my tile but they seem to clump or glob in an area. I love this tile!

  • @JudiMichalikPhotography

    @@scottieable1111 I find the key is to put the metallic down and the add either a drop of alcohol or blending solution and then tilting the tile to let gravity move the metallics. They usually will follow the lines of the ink you have already laid down. Also, not all metallics perform the same. My two favorites are pinata brass and pinata rich gold because of how they move.

    Why am I having a hard time getting veins with the gold alcohol ink.

  • @JudiMichalikPhotography

    @JudiMichalikPhotography

    3 жыл бұрын

    Hi Debbie, I get the gold veins by "floating" the gold in another ink or on the 91% alcohol. I usually put the ink down and put a drop of the gold in top of it and while the gold is floating in top of the ink, I move it with gravity or with air. It separates and veins while it dries. I hope this helps. Let me know how it works for you or if you have any questions.

    If you wash them, will it come off?

  • @JudiMichalikPhotography

    If you have treated them with 3 coats Kamar, 3 coats UV sealant and a coat or two of crystal clear they will not, but I would hand wash them with a gentle soap and water.
