at 21:50 instead of going left, go to the right, jump down and up some stairs. Inside you will find the talisman which increases the speed at which you cast sorceries. Just do a little bit of parkour :3

@@P4wnyhof What is in your left hand? A knife? Is that what you recommend? I've been playing a day, with meteorite staff and the starter shield. I don't get it, does the shield provide any passive defence? Or do you actively have to use it do benefit? .... I never use it lol. I see different recommendations, staff left hand/sword right etc. But then I have to switch to two hand staff when on torrent and it's not good for muscle memory. I'm old haha.

@@astrix_mvp you actively have to hold the L1 button to block an attack with the shield, and tap L2 to use the shields secondary ability

Also the stats were really helpful to learn! I’m currently about halfway to what you said and just beat stormveil and did some exploring in the underground river cities.

Hey P4ny great vid. Just wondering if you are planning on pumping the Carian staff? From what I understand it's overall better for clearing levels late game than lusat's because it does less DMG but has a lower fp cost. I'm trying to figure out if I want to pump Lusat's or Carian myself since I am at int and I haven't invested into either yet.

You do have enough stones to pump both staffs and try :D I played Lusat all the way!

If you need space timber the astro logger is the char for you

I can only say, that the meteorite staff is not on the dead guy. I made a mage and a vagabond build. Before any game patches. My job made me put down the game. And start up like a week ago, I tried a guide called. Get somewhat OP early, and a lot of the stuff was not there, like the great Epee sword. And with my mage i went for the staff and the rock sling spell. The staff was gone but i did find the spell.

to be honest this guide is better than the videos from the official wiki page lol

I'm currently doing my first mage run, and I opted for Moon Veil Katana and Carian Regal Scepter, with Meteorite Staff in off-hand. My summon of choice so far has been Oleg, and he's just tanking the bosses like crazy. I'll probably change to either Mimic or Dung Eater later. But Oleg is a solid choice as a tank that draws aggro.

I was a tank since I started elden ring. Just realised that being a mage isn't that much easier BUT it is wayyy more fun. And that's what counts.

Mage is not inherently more easy - It can help with trash mobs - It can help with some bosses - All in all we are here to have fun thats what counts :D!

I’m doing my 2nd play through as a mage and it’s like a different game. I used a full strength build knight on my first play through

Get Glintstone Swift Shard, that is your bread and butter for a Mage, low cost, a bit less damage then Pebble. Aim for 18 Mind after 18 Intellect. This way you will have 110 FP for: - 6 Casts of Rocks - 11 Casts of Ark - 22 Casts of Swift Shard Staff of Loss + Night Comet. Best PVE boss melter as well as best damage to FP ratio.
