His method of weening himself off of the porn addiction via the use of awareness and willpower rather than guilt and shame could probably help with many compulsions and addictions. Guilt and shame really only feed the cycle by causing you to swing from extremes without correcting the core issues. Suppression breeds tension and relapse.

Good talk, especially if you're the type of person who loves the idea of success, but inside is scared of success

Close to the end of the talk I’m over here saying “thank you” in my lonesome for the knowledge cuz this issah real stuff and useful. Guilt and those sort of emotions are suicidal type and just get nobody anywhere good, similar to pride it’s just not necessary. Nobody should feel they have to prove themselves to anybody just be yourself, do what your heart resonates and feels more at home with and do it just to smile more on your own, it’s all really important. There’s nothing wrong with being alone as well, nobody should feel anxious towards their own loneliness, and it’s all for an important reason and beside, nobody is ever really alone.

Amazing talk. THe end left me with a tear in my eye. So meaningful.

Wow this video totally just opened my eyes on this whole PIED recovery process. His story is the exact same as mine...although he gave up porn completely he tried to project what he used to watch into his real sex which is what I tried to do as well. That being said I think that we as a society should educate kids at a young age the negative affects of viewing pornography, it is simply not worth the problems you will face later on in life because of it.

So basically, he shares the same problem that nearly every girl struggles with; no orgasm, lack of stimulation, no doctors that can truly help, and being surrounded by people that overlook this frustration. This is such a great talk and should definitely be recommended. Anxiety can be very debilitating.
