    Im still filling out all my background info and the thing that gives me the most anxiety is possibly forgetting something. Im 39 years old. I sincerely dont have anything I'm concerned about but if they find something i dont want to seem deceptive

    if there is nothing to find then there is nothing. Do the best you can, if a neighbor or someone suggests something, they will come back and ask you about it. You should be fine, good luck.

    Can you give as some tips regarding the background investigation based on your experience bro. If you don’t the exact dates for your past emoluments, it is ok to put approximates dates?? Also, do you have to mention any other agencies that you have applied to in the past or not??

  • @maxwelllambert7806

    @maxwelllambert7806

    @@zaid6142 yes so they are going to do a full backround of yourself. So they will look at your neighbors, friends, past employers, etc. make sure you give excellent references. If the investigator has any questions make sure you give them precise details. If you don’t know the exact date, then give a good estimate or at least the month and year. Also, they will need any past agencies you applied for. For me I had to give my backround investigator proof of an email from that agency.

    I can remember three speeding tickets I can recall the year, agency, and county for sure but I dont remember any specifics for the ones I got over 20 years ago when I was a teenager driving my 300ZX back when the speed limit was 55. Not even the years.

    How far back do they want you to go? Did it say all? You can always guesstimate, or go to the states department of motor vehicles and request a copy of your driving record, after all, that's what the background investigator will do.

    I have a question in regarding to work history. Would it make sense to attach a copy of my work history from SSA? Also my driving record? Also I was terminated from an employer (gym) for not charging an older woman for her sessions. But that was years ago (8) will that likely be a hindrance? Thank you again love the videos.

    Hello, I once fixed a laptop for someone.. told them to come pick it up never did then pressed chargers and when I found out I had a warrant I went to figure out why and I then turned in the laptop & told the officer what happened then I went to turn myself in. It was a voluntary dismissal & expunged. I have no speed tickets, never been arrested, will I still be disqualified? Thank you and your channel is very helpful

    I don't see your circumstances leading to any issues. You kept talking to folks and turned yourself in. Once it was all figured out the case was dismissed. Things happen and mix ups happen. The background investigator will verify everything and all should be good. Good luck.

    Got some questions for ya... How much more does an student internship make you more favorable to be hired? Also, would listing that student internship as a job be valid or not? One more... Having a job for one day but it didn't work out because of health, should I still list it as a job I've had?

  • @InPursuit360

    @InPursuit360

    9 ай бұрын

    An internship at a police department or a general business? At a PD will at least get you exposed to the people there, they may remember you when you come into an interview. An internship at a general company may be seen as your ability to intern and obtain an education, your willingness to intern for no or low pay to gain experience can say a lot about you. I would list an internship as a job, there is a supervisor and co-workers. And finally, yes, if you only worked somewhere for one day, I would list it. It may seem trivial but you do not want to appear to be deceptive. Good luck.

    What if you weren't that popular in your past? Like what if you are not close to your family or have very many friends. Will a low social life negatively affect your background check? Even if you're more social presently

  • @InPursuit360

    @InPursuit360

    They take everything into account. A lack of an expansive social group is not a bad thing. Police officers tend to have small social circles anyway. Be sure to give a lot of details, if they have questions about anything they will ask you and give you a chance to respond.

  • @InPursuit360

    @InPursuit360

    If you were taken into custody and processed, then yes. You can always go back to the court and ask for a copy of your criminal history. If it is clear, your good. I would say answer no but add a comment on an attachment and let them know what happened. Sometimes the background investigator will go to local PD's and ask about calls for service at your address or prior reports with your name. Always give them full disclosure. Good luck.

    How long does it normally take to complete a background investigation?

  • @InPursuit360

    @InPursuit360

    Жыл бұрын

    The process varies. If your local all your life and have not moved a lot and the investigators are not backed up, they can be done in about a week. The more you have moved since about 16 or the more jobs you have had it may take a little longer. There are lots of variables, backgrounds can take from weeks to a few months. Hang in there, good luck.

    I am currently in the process of a police investigation and I don't have anything to worry about other then my employment history because for some jobs the managers that were there have left years ago and sometimes I didn't spend enough time at a job to get a co worker's number. All I can put down is the name of the company the location but as far as the HR department's number etc. I wouldn't have any information to put down. What do I do when I have had a list of jobs and some of these jobs I don't have the adequate information on ? I am only 23 years old but I have had my fair share of jobs. I just wouldn't want this to put me on the DQ side. My credit score is good my record is clean. Feedback would be great thank you.

    Can I get your opinion on this: I was an EMT for a few months but was fired for hitting a parking rail while in my probationary employment period. I reported the incident to my supervisor and was fired a few days later. How bad is that going to hurt me chances? Also I can't find contact info for one of my co-workers there because I only worked there for a little while.

    @@InPursuit360i am 51 and applying to a south Florida sheriffs department and in the process of taking the PAT and CJBAT ….. I have never sold or done drugs in my life, never smoked a cigarette and I drink wine once in a while during a dinner or something . I got in trouble in NC State when I was 24 for a felony that had nothing to do with me and I took it to trial and won . Prior to that I had no criminal record and after that issue till now 27 years later never got in trouble with the law and went on to have 2 successful businesses which I sold before pandemic. I have been a resident of the county I am applying for - for 24 years and have always been known in my community for the restaurant I owned especially by lots of deputies whom actually ask me to join. My last speeding ticket was 15 years ago and never again till now….. with everything I have said what are my odds ? Btw.. your channel is amazing.
