Great video. After doing extensive research on this I've found the most common path/best route is to either get a good normal job or learn a skill that pays the bills, then after getting some work experience, learning skills, building expertise etc, start a business on the side. Once the business is making maybe a few thousand a month and you have some savings, quit your job and go full time.

This is the kind of info I wish I’d had in high school to better prepare for college. It’s a much more illustrative way of understanding industries & earning capacity. It’s shocking that a capitalist country doesn’t actually prepare its citizens for living under capitalism, but most likely that’s BY DESIGN.

@@shotimemillionaire No, the truth is, is that if you are lazy, you’re not getting ahead no matter what type of society you are in, Capitalist or not. If you are not in a Capitalist society, then it’s hopeless to get ahead because you are doomed from the start. You don’t even get a chance. All your earning mostly go to taxes, and it’s spread out to everyone who may or may not ever contribute anything to taxes or society in any way! At least in a capitalist society, you get out the effort you put in, plus then some. You can start with absolutely nothing, and make yourself a life and have a family and then give back to people in many ways. If capitalism was so bad, so awful and unfair to people, then why would people all over the world want to come here? People wait years to get here legally! People even risk their lives to get here. They know they have it in themselves, deep down inside, to make something of themselves and create a life that is not squashed by taxes (at least until this year, as we may expect to be squashed by taxes now), or limited by government and society rules.

Great video, Erica! 👍👍 Starting your own business(es) and investing in real estate are the best options for average people. Those high paying jobs are hard to come by, require a lot of schooling, and provide no tax advantages (unlike businesses and real estate). And like you said, you can get fired any time. This is a well-articulated video! Another idea is entrepreneurship, which is extremely underrated. If you find a business opportunity within your company, you can pitch that to the company. That way, you get stocks/options AND the comfort of your salary. It's a win-win, and that's kinda what Steve Jobs v2.0 did after Apple rehired him.

Being a millionaire and earning $1M/yr are two totally different things. One may earn $1M/yr and never have a 1M net worth if they spend everything. One the other hand, it is very possible to become a millionaire in net worth, while earning much less than 1M/yr. Even earning $1M/yr, one cannot become a net worth millionaire in one year after paying taxes and living expenses.

Enjoyed the video, but nearly none will achieve a million in income in a single year... and most won't save that much in their lives. I know you get it... Wish most would just learn a bit of self discipline and patience so the wealth building process can work. For most, getting their 1st million (in net worth) takes time and A LOT of hard work and sacrifice... period. I was able to check that box without any athletic scholarships or MD suffixes. A million is earned one $ at a time. All that said, your video was very transparent on that. Long before people are millionaires, they become $500k-aires and prior $100K-aires. Which are actually more meaningful goals to the individual's financial well being. All the best.

What’s disgusting in duh’murrica is that our of the 50 states 49 of the highest paying state salaries are the head football coaches. When people ask why universities are so insanely expensive they never ever think it’s their beloved sports and sports scholarships that your tuition is paying for! Then people wonder why America is so screwed up when it obviously has its priorities backwards where sports are the most important thing in the world but paying teachers is dead last. You reap what you sow...

Paying teachers more isn't going to improve students education or outcome. Parents or guardians have to step up to the plate and actually be there for their kids and investigate what their kids are actually learning in their classes. Now, kid's learning is full of indoctrination of socialism and communism, and hatred for our country. Let alone pushing kids to be exposed to sexual things and making choices about that stuff even in grade school! Many school districts don't even have kids do any homework. So the kid's heads are stuffed full of useless and even harmful things, and not the important things they need to become a useful member of society. Subjects like math, English and the sciences. How to code! (And how to do a budget, save money and balance a checkbook, would be very useful. Teach them about how to start and run a simple business, what are taxes and investments.) The current administration is dumping over 1.65 BILLION into education and higher education, and kids are mostly still at home, not learning anythinmg of value if they are learning anything, and getting emotionally messed up all at the same time! Instead they push division, and being a victim and not how to grow into becoming a responsible adult.

Excellent video, but you see trading cryptocurency required more than just a primary knowledge to trade with an crypocurency, it is trade with an except to avoid unnecessary losses.

Whatever you do to earn big bucks, there is always sacrifice, if you think the job in a big law firm is not worth it, then pretty much the same everywhere else.

I became a healthcare administrator. Unfortunately we pay our primary care docs much less than out specialists. But you are still going to need a masters degree.

What is the point of waiting until retirement to enjoy all the money? We will enjoy it for max 10 years and die at 70. So be smart, multiply money, retire early and enjoy money while still multiplying it.

There is a massive difference between being educated and smart. All the education in the world will not help unless you have the drive and a solid work ethic. Plus being cheap doesn't hurt either.
