I was dismissed from SUNY Downstate in 1996. Now, I’m on disability and had all my student loans ($300K) cancelled in 2014. In the US, professional schools are sociopath factories.

Could you go into why they dismissed you/the sociopath stuff? I recently left college due to psychotic security/school lawyer interrogating me and threatening to kick me out for something someone else did. I didn't back down to their bullying and it blew up into a huge thing that they got in trouble for. Despite that, I now despise colleges and their staff

Hi! My daughter is currently a pre-med junior majoring in Integrative Neuroscience. She’s currently anxious about what courses she needs to take for the MCAT and medical school because online sources and various advisors at her school are telling her different things. She was wondering if she needed to take Cell Biology, Molecular Biology, Anatomy, and Physiology. People are saying cell and molecular are going to be on the MCAT while others say it’s not required. They also said that medical schools love when students take physiology and anatomy, essentially boosting their application. Since she’s not a traditional biology major these courses would count as electives on top of her already required major and minor courses. Any help would be appreciated, thank you so much!

Essentially, whether or not she should take those courses for the MCAT is more dependent on how strong your daughter is in those subjects. As an example, I did not do biochemistry before doing the MCAT and still scored well because I could learn from the textbooks. If I had struggled with biochemistry, then it would have been better for me to do a course since it's a little bit more comprehensive. Additionally, it's a misconception that is really going to make a significant difference in her medical school application competitiveness. We can talk about this in much greater detail!
