    Strive for 6 As. 4As are quite slim. Fulfilling the minimum entry requirements doesn't mean you can enter a law school especially at public universities because the competition has always been tight and you need an edge to be ahead of the list

What the basic salary of a lawyer who just finished graduated from the law school? 3. In your opinion, which legal field that are in demand now and will be in the next 10 years? Sorry if my question look dumb but i really want to know. Actually, i have been thinking to be lawyer. I have been dreaming about it since form 1. But, i just want to know more from a lawyer like you. Hope ypu can answer my question. Thank you. 4. What the work environment will look like? Does it stressful? 5. A little tips for the new laywer when they are handling the cases.

    Hi there! If you already have a Degree, I believe you can try for admissions straightaway instead of pre-university courses. But I’m not sure how would the requirement be. You can check with the university itself. I believe if you’re in public uni, it would be cheaper than private uni. However, since you’re an international student, the fee might be a bit higher, but so far, I believe it’d be affordable if you can secure a public uni. You can also try to take up part time instead of full time study mode to fund your studies if you feel doing so! :)

    Hi, diploma law maybe boleh utk proceed ke Degree law. But diploma law in itself tak memenuhi kriteria untuk jadi lawyer ya. Untuk Bahasa Arab, saya percaya tak ada keperluan untuk ada Bahasa Arab untuk ambil Degree law, kecuali kalau untuk degree syariah law, saya tak sure ya.

    Hello! A “judge” has few meanings to it eg a Magistrate court judge, sessions and High Court and above. All of them would require minimum Bachelor of Laws (Degree). The path would be the same as mentioned above, but its just that after you graduated, if you are interested to become a Magistrate, you can apply SPA (Gov) instead of going to pupillage. For sessions court, high court judges and above, it has higher requirement eg min amount of practice / teaching experience to apply.

    I suggest you go terus ke MMU sebab MMU tak perlu CLP. I believe BAC buat twinning programme so you won’t graduate from BAC on paper, but from their twinning university in UK - therefore you kena buat CLP. Universiti utk law degree bukan only perlu MQA, tapi also perlu qualified dari LPQB. You boleh check link yang I letak for the list of universities.

    Hi, Syakira Azam. I am from Indonesia and interested to work in Malaysia. I am a law graduated and currently pursuing my master degree majoring business law. Do I have a chance to work as an in-house legal or legal officer or corporate legal position in a company in Malaysia as a foreigner? As we know that Indonesia and Malaysia have different law system so there will be a lot of differences with the law practices and the prevailing laws and regulation between these two countries. Do you have recommendation from me how can I work in Malaysia? Thank you!

  • @SyakiraAzam

    @SyakiraAzam

    2 жыл бұрын

    Hi there! As far as I am concerned, the requirement is strict on the LLB to become a practicing lawyer in Malaysia. However, in-house lawyer or any position in corporate world does not require the same. Many of my friends who don't wish to practice / do not meet the requirements have joined the corporate, hence I believe there is nothing stopping you! However, it would then fully dependent on the company that you wish to serve, some have their own requirements and preferences! I believe it would be easier if you venture into private and regional or global companies, as you already have the upper hand in knowing the regulations in Indonesia. As for the laws etc, it can always be learned as you go. And especially in corporate, I believe contracts drafting and due diligence skills are more or less indifferent globally! Hope this helps! All the best!
