    In this day and age when we are realising the importance of mental health and work-life balance, if an organisation head says there are no Sundays and you have to put the job above your partner, then there is something seriously wrong with their work culture. As they say, when you're old and you look back at your life, you won't think about the Sundays you worked but the partner you lost.

    Nice interview..there needs a proper realistic series on Agents/managers ...revealing ins & outs of their professional life & impact on their personal life. call my agent Bollywood series doesn't do justice with real life of agents. There needs more unraveling. Agents real life incidents, stories, how did they grab Brand deals , global events for their client/star ...& their everyday hustle would make really good series.

    Insightful interview but honestly it sounds like hell working for this person. “Lose your partner or figure out a way to work all day and make it work” is not worth any kind of perk that comes with this kind of job.

    It must be unfortunate that actors and actress are seriously approaching their profession in regards to branding, image and all that. As an audience its visible what actors have turned out to be and can see how much effort is put on craft vs job that focuses on how to be the best product. Celebrity managers have become the most important part of an actors life.

  • @Sanj193

    @Sanj193

    Жыл бұрын

    Branding is not just about actors/actresses.. I'll give you a simple example.. If you are in a job interview, basically you're trying to market yourself so that they choose you.. That is also similar to branding! Or let's say you're buying a soap.. There are so many soaps available but you choose a brand which you find nice.. Basically any actor/actress/even director/producer comes forward to market their film as a product, that film is known by their names or their face.. That is branding.. Their art nd craft or any skill comes along with that.. So the actor takes care of their craft while the manager takes care of branding them.. This is in a very general sense but basically that's the idea of branding!

    Sorry but i am not able to understand the exact need of this job. Casting agency can map the suitable talent against an opportunity. Unnecessary branding is a delusion for a celebrity and audience. These days everything is online - extremely accessible by phone/emails. Probably actors should use their time & brain effectively and these agencies should do more meaningful with their lives. I understand somehow its working currently but its not long term... The lady felt to genuine
