I always keep complaining that my teachers don’t teach well while as I don’t put any attention to it, this video made me realise that no matter how if you don’t put in the efforts there will be no results! Hi hi! I am a bit late on this video so I apologize for that LOL. This has helped me so so much and I really appreciate all the tips and advice Faye gives in her videos. I am a student just going into high school next year. I live in South Africa so we go into our new grades every new year. I was quite nervous before since I was leaving all my friends behind in my new school but now I am so excited for this next chapter in my life! I am a year older than all my friends because I started school 1 year later since my birthday is late in the year. So I would have been in high school this year going to grade nine but because of my age I would be much to young to go to the next grade. Glowing up is very important for High school...everyone says that and it is so true. It is where you have to be way more independent and organized then in recent years. I am a ballet dancer and Art and Drama student (cultural) so I don't do sports as much. I am a huge perfectionist and I have always been academic and top in my younger years (Grade 2-5) but then puberty hit and I have a hard time at home and being an introvert so that didn't help either. So, of course I stopped working hard and studying at school. I stopped paying attention in class and just left my time for KPOP. (just started getting into it then) Dancing was my only escape from my school and home life. Then I had a turn seeing my report this year....it wasn't good at all. My parents weren't mad because they thought the report was a mistake because my school had a past with mistakes so they didn't care. I at least got half colours for academics and Full colours for Dance, Art and services. I got the best dancer trophy and the Leadership award and Kindness Award. So my parents were very proud of those so they didn't care for the report. I also did really well in ballet, (my dance teacher is basically my second mom) I got loads of awards which I still don't think I deserve. I got a distinction (Gold 85% and above) for my exam. That was the highlight of my year. So as a dancer I should be completely satisfied and relaxed...but I'm not. I am okay on the outside but FUMINGLY mad at myself on the inside for not getting full colours and doing well this year....Grade 7 is so important but I messed it up! 78% average for some people is literally to amazing, but for me it's so bad. But today I drew the line, I am going to STOP being so lazy and STOP procrastinating and STOP all of my bad habits...thanks to you Faye. Another thing I have realized this year was my obsession with KPOP. That's all I used to think about and watch and do. It is still going to be like that because Stray Kids and ITZY have been my drive, but I am going to do it in a better and less obsessive way. They are still going to be my inspirations but I won't focus on just spending my time watching them. That will help tremendously. Sure, if you have read this far you are so kind, I know you don't care about this at all but I am doing this for anyone who feels the same. We may not have done well this year, but OH BOY next year I am going to be the IT GIRL of my grade. FOR SURE! I won;t get involved with any bad crowd, I am going to be kind to everyone I meet. I will glow up in 2024...and that's a fact. Good luck besties! 😘😘😘😘
