The nice thing about spray cheese is you can use it as tire sealant in a pinch when you're out on the trail.

Painfully accurate. The only thing you missed was an old timer in a rusted out pickup rolling past you who spent only 1/1000000th you spent on gear that you don't really need. He's got a garden shovel and a 2x4 for recovery gear, 2 cans of beans for food, a sleeping bag and a tarp. Also, he should be a little pissed because he's been camping there for years but thanks to social media all his best spots are on the internet now.

​@@adanielweaverit was an 88 Honda Accord. And it would out climb totally decked decked out 4x4 pickups on rutted hills. It just needed to be primed by pouring beer in the gas tank.....er....um....driver.... And vacuum lines are easier to deal with than corroding electrical.

The family and I went up a local canyon "truck trail" after breakfast one day and encountered about 6 toyota overloaders, err..overlanders blocking up the easy line with their photoshoot. I kindly passed them on the "hard" line in our 2wd Trooper (our daily driver).

Yep, back in the day it was just trail riding for the weekend. You took the bare necessities but just enough to handle what you may need and a couple coolers of food and drink and had fun. And ALWAYS have a couple cans of spray cheese...you can air up flat tires with the pressure from the can. No one judged you for your ride and everyone was part of a group that watched out for each other.

lol, the prepper. I literally am releasing a bug out vehicle video this week and it’s my overlanding setup 😂

As a Vancouverite who recently got into overlanding this hits too close to home

Sounds humiliating!

The best use for overlanding vehicles, from what I have observed, is the daily commute. It destroys gas mileage but you're always ready to spend a night in the parking garage when the commute back home looks dicey.
