How To Be an industrial Designer
Ever wonder what goes on inside of those industrial design studios? Well you've come to the right place. This is a video that myself and 5 other classmates made during our final year as ID students at Arizona State University. The purpose of this video is 1. to show how much fun us industrial designers have and 2. to explain to others what it is we do. Please note that we absolutely endorse the views and opinions expressed in this video (as comical as they may be, they are all very true). Also note that no iPhones were harmed in the making of this video.

Why do we generate ideas while sitting in washroom 🚻 🤔 🤣
this makes me want to be an industrial designer because I basically do this stuff on a daily basis
This is pretty accurate actually. So much so that it's almost scarry. No Bauhaus reference though? A little disappointed by that. Over all, not bad.
I watched this before I started studying Industrial Design, and thought this was funny. Now after a year the accurateness of this is scary and embarrassing.
100% accurate ...gosh those rolling chair races we had :')

I clicked on this expecting a legitimate and professional introduction to the career, yet I got so much more than I ever could have hoped for.
This is a damn masterpiece. 😂 Most likely going to attend ASU for ID next year so it's good to see you guys like to have fun.
pretend to be a graphic designer...yeah
UGH! I wanted to hate this video sooo much but its scary accurate. Damn it...Here! just take my like already :'(
This is bursting with creativity, from the intro to the hilarious outro, also did the guy in the background on the shot where u slide out the door know u were doing this skit, it'd be so funny if he didn't.
My 16 year old is taking a college guidance class where the students take loads of personality/interest/skill tests, and they all have confirmed his desire to go into engineering (though he wasn't sure how to incorporate his love of art). Today we have been researching Industrial Design, and the more I have learned, the more I have felt this IS the focus my son ought to take. It fits who he is. THEN, I watched your video, and at every new point, I exclaimed, "Oh, yes! He IS an industrial designer!" So so funny. And so him. ; )

Great job crew!! Proud to be an alum.
Fucking Lol I died laughing. I laughed at my best in 2 years after watching this video. As an industrial designer I do all the dumbshit except avoiding a date and carrying a sketchbook because I want to be a next level Industrial designer..
lol, you hit the nail on the head. Great job!
I loved your channel and especially the projects! My name is Pâmella Cattrine, I am 23 years old, I live in Brazil and study Design here, I am passionate about your work, I want to be able to think, to design as well as. But here the industrial design is not so deep I'm sad about it, but you inspired me. I watched the video as being an industrial design and it made me very very happy and the Aya project made me think, that's what I want, I want to help people, I want to help the planet. Thank you for inspiring me. I hope to get to know them one day! And I'm sorry if I'm confused I can not speak English well. See you later!

This totally resonates with my college life.
Funny stuff...... Considering you guys uploaded this 4+ years ago you're probably enjoying the fruits of your time at ASU! Good luck!
Damn, Industrial design should be more paying than other jobs. I really do the work of Psycho Analyst, Graphic designer, CAD designer, Engineer and Marketing Analyst/Researcher, Sustainability Expert, Doctor and Nurse lmao😂😂😂 Ohh, and yeah, photographer 😀
Too true!
Why this is no longer available? It was top!

I'm in my final year of high school and I've thought about taking an industrial design course for a while now. I'm from Australia and I was just wondering if there are any industrial designers out there who could tell my what they think of the job. Was it what you expected? Do you enjoy your job? How difficult was it to get a job? And is it rewarding?
