About new players losing - I would say saying them to get better is usless, but as "experienced" player that probably played them - there are plenty of advice you could give what they are doing wrong AFTER THE GAME. I have seen in few games that ppl are unable to provide feedback and divolve into "you should just do it better", which wont help, but I still remember few good tips I got, although those are few and far between

Something minor, but "We" had to take into consideration when pickign campaign - Terrains. Since we had to pick shop to play in we had to consider what terrain are avalaible there and how busy it is - so if we could acctually use them. For eample, picking classic hive-city-terrain campaign would not be possible in our first-choic-eshop since they didnt have almost any terrain of that type, just stuff for big army games

@@CommanderCheapSkate Thanks we are all looking forward to it. I've introduced them to the system via a few skirmish games to get used to the rules and they have all enjoyed it a lot so far. The best game was when a delaque long rifle equipped champion shot a palatine capt off a walk way and landed on another enforcer who inturn landed upon another and all 3 went out of action. We rolled up injuries to see what would have happened if we were in a campaign and all 3 died 😂 .I think this act alone got them excited for a campaign especially the delaque player who's determined to name his gang " 1 shot 3 kills" now

@@CommanderCheapSkate that's it exactly. They all come from 40k so I've had to explain that necromunda is a lot more narrative based and moments like that are what the game is all about. We all play Dnd together so I think that they will really enjoy the more narrative side of the game and are stoked to begin at the end of the month once everyone has their gangs painted up.

"Balance in the underhive". My man, I wish you had warned me before you said that... Dr. Pepper's a beast to clean up. Cheers

Balancing mechanics bit I agree with, I joined our last campaign late but still had a lot of fun playing, made no difference to me and felt right being the new upstart gang having to start from the bottom. And when bad things happen, I say "welcome to Necromunda"

Lol, Indeed. I had a player with a Slave Ogryn gang join late, and oddly enough, her gang was a wrecking ball! A true upset gang! It was amazing 😎

I have seen an interesting discussion on Yak tribes for that, where depending on the creditrating of your opponent your gang would get a good deal of extra XP, more for a win but still a decent amount for losing. Might be interesting when you dont want to mess with stuff like aditional hired guns

I think this depends a lot on the player and/or player expectation. I think *some* level of balancing or rewarding for gaps in rating is good for player retention. If everyone likes the idea of potentially struggling against opponents that have a breeze, and people don't hate stomping other players, then no-balancing is just fine. If not, it's probably smart to try and even the odds *a little*. On the other hand, balancing mechanics should probably always be weaker than actually levelling your gang.

Yes, please do a video on Law & Misrule as well! I'm planning to run a campaign soon-ish and since a whole bunch of people want to play the enforcers it would feel kinda meh to play Dominion instead of Law& Misrule.

Hey Commander, thanks for your impact on the hobby!!! Im trying to make my first campaign so i have a question: How deal with non-even players situation, when there's 5 or 7 people who participate? How to create parrings for them? If someone play twice, its much more income and experience for him Thanks in advance!

Whenever I have an odd number of players I have a "bye" week for them. For example in a campaign week with 5 players it might go: player 1 vs. 2, player 3 vs. 4, and player 5 doesn't participate. And the next week it might go player 5 vs. 2, player 1 vs. 3, pand player 4 doesn't participate. You can also Google something like 5 player round robin, and a table and schedule can be found in most cases. I hope that helps.
