That screenshot tip is fire! I've done that before. I've never printed anything out, but that would be good if I ever dropped my phone or something. But yes, like you said, cant assume there will internet,.

and yes, youre right. I had a second shooter once who blew out the highlights, had the bride out of focus, and was moving.....MOVING.....while filming his angle. I literally used 90% of my footage from that wedding.

Hi Jaison. I shooting with my new a73. I have only two lenses with me. Sony 24-105 f4G and 28mm f2(mainly for gimbal work.).But now I need a wide angle to my arsenal.For couple of my real estate work I rented 16-35 f4. At the moment it is out of my budget. So I am looking towards rokinon 14mm AF 2.8., rokinon MF 14mm T 3.1 cine lens , rokinon 14mn MF f2.8 . My doubt is does wide angle primes need autofocus. and which one do you prefer.?

Shooting my sister's wedding next weekend. Its my first wedding shoot both video and photo, but its a very small casual and non-traditional church wedding. Im packing all my camera gear on the plane, flying from Hawaii to LA, hope my gear will be safe. I got 2x canons 6dm2,7dm2 for photos and just got the a7iii a month ago to shoot video.

We always communicate with each other when we arrive at a new location to set WB. We shoot same PP1 profile

I always wear my "button down pants" at weddings 😹

I’ve filmed 6 weddings as a second shooter and have nothing to show for it. The lead videographer prohibits me from having any footage. I have to hand my cards over at the end of the night. I’ve reached out to a couple other wedding filmmakers and they said this is pretty standard, yet all companies ask for a second shooters portfolio, they want sample footage. Moving over from the field of visual design I couldn’t imagine not being able to use my work in a portfolio. Is this really how the wedding film business works? How does a second shooter ever work up to better gigs without access to the footage they shoot?

I am doing freelance as a start for weddings. I am a one-man band and oh boy is it hectic.

I have a button down shirt but what’s a button down pants? Jk thanks for all the tutorial.

Honestly, it depends on how much you want to pay them and their experience level.

I really really love your videos! But for some reasons, people in China have no normal access to KZread. Would you mind me reprinting your videos, and translating them to Chinese? I suggest to those new People, Never used Second shooter footage as for your main video, only think of it as someone who just want to know your work. Never Get a second shooter, instead get a main shooter that will act as a second shooter. Getting second shooter who suck so bad you want to beat their asses for being so stupid will hunt you for life. Its good to pay more than to be frustrated for the rest of your life.

Jason Vong ok. Can u go futher? Like HOW do you communicate during the whole thing? Phone? Walkietalkie? do you have a checklist (should you) of specific shots? how do you give your photos to The First shooter? when? do you synchronize any settings? etc. etc :) I'm hungry for your knowledge
