HOW TO BE A BETTER BEGINNER IN ARCHERY

Coming into archery for the first time can be intimidating. There is a lot to learn and to understand when it comes to the equipment, the technique and the fundamentals. In this School of Nock session, John Dudley of Nock On Archery will teach you how to be a better beginner in archery by learning how to write the correct code into your brain on each element of archery right from the start. As you break down each element, and focus on practicing each element separately and with great focus, you will progress and become a successful archer with great archery habits.
If you've been shooting archery for a long time and are still having a hard time overcoming bad habits, you will also learn from Dudley that he had to do a full reset 10 years into his archery journey to rewire his internal archery circuit board so that he could get to the great place he is today. The lesson here is that it is never too late if you are willing to put in the work!

Wow.....this really resonates...I think about these things all the time, but don't actually try out ideas until I'm on the range, the shot trainer is an epic idea, and one I'm going to try. There is nothing worse than getting it wrong first time on the range then get more and more frustrated becuase you are too preoccupied with all the other things to do when holding and shooting your bow.....this has given me real food for thought...thanks John...

Could you do a segment of proper body mechanics to avoid injury? I have started getting pinched nerves in the muscles used for drawing my bow
Hey Dud, Hawkeye state bowhunter here. Trying to learn how to shoot my Carter resistance activated release, but I have a pretty big beard-can’t seem to get consistent face pressure. Nose to the tip of the string, but my release hand strays as I can’t find a consistent anchor…do I just have to become excellent with a wrist strap release and forgo the handheld?
