    you don't want to be at that angle, cab being that horizontal with the trailer like this, good way to rip air lines and pull out the electrical socket. It's how you jackknife.

    If you are fully loaded and do a 90 degree back up is their a possibility of rolling the tires off the wheels popping the wheel beads?

  • @driversuccess

    @driversuccess

    2 жыл бұрын

    I’ve never seen that happen…but I understand what you mean because at one point during the back up your tires will be the pivot point. I think it is possible but rare especially since you’re backing up at idle speed.

    Generally speaking, a local truck is assigned to 2 drivers who slip seat. So each driver has it for a max of 12 hours. So 10-11 is the sweet spot

    Hi. Quick question. When your back/rear tire is at the imaginary line, do you make complete left so as to move trailer into the box. I know you said the rear becomes your pivot.

  • @driversuccess

    @driversuccess

    2 жыл бұрын

    Not a complete left because your aim is to get underneath the trailer so that your tractor is in line with your trailer

    I don't mind advice at all just don't want to be put to sleep when it's given. I tried to watch it again to see what was so beneficial of the video and passed out waiting for him to tell me how exactly to get the truck in the position he talks about instead of just saying once you get the back of the trailer to this point your tractor should look like this. Sooooo tell us HOW to get the tractor to look like that @ that point

    Some tips were good but he doesn't explain how and when to get the vehicle to jackknife or how to get the tractor back under the trailer. He could have used some of that time he used to be repetitive to be more thorogh
