Carp fishing Korda Koach Rob Burgess explains the tactics and minor tweaks he uses when fishing venues he knows to contain crayfish.
Both in the UK and Abroad the crays can completely ruin a fishing session (or fishing holiday) if you are not prepared, so these tips could be just what you need to save a blank.
Rob was fishing on NEW Embryo lakes Gordon’s and Iris (Colne Valley). Gordon’s was known to contain crayfish and it seemed the perfect opportunity for us to create a short video about ‘how to avoid crayfish’ and catch you more carp.
Everything is covered from bait, rigs, hook baits, areas to fish and even what hooks not to use.

For boilie anglers used similar sized wooden balls . . .buy them from a model shop, screw/glue in a bait screw and soak in glug for life . . .get them working quicker by using a large pellet pump to create a vacuum and get the glug saturating into the wooden balls quicker . . .use on curve shank with rig stop and stiff boom . . totally cray proof

Hi guys be very careful using those wraps, don't trough it away in the environment after use or your fishing day. Our dog swollowed already twice a wrap during our walk and luckily it took her at least 3 days to puke them out. We don't want to end on the operation table at the vet's ☹
Ask the Government & EA to remove the licences & the need for permission on rivers to trap them. They are invasive & people just deny even having them & they are not even issuing new trapping licences.
Thanks, will try these methods out as 3 of the 4 carp lakes at my syndicate are terrible for crays. The only lake they're not in is the sandpit, seem to hate the fine sand substrate. Getting rid of them I've heard is near on impossible as they each lay 100's of eggs at a time.
