I had the same issue as you with the autotext, (mentioned around 8 minutes). Rather than moving the zones, I found that if you select all of the zones and then edit the reference ID or name and close the settings it seems to force a refresh, which updates the view map. Hope it works for you too!

Thanks for the note on the refresh! I'll try this out and hopefully it solves the issue, but I'm glad I'm not the only one struggling with that issue.

There is a fit to drawing option for the placed drawing, which will help. But there is not any fit to grid box option, it's a matter of setting the scale appropriate to the size of your sheet and grid, or in some cases having the drawing take over multiple grid boxes. Thanks for the question!

Many thanks for the informative tutorial! I have a quick question, if you don't mind. When I add my views to my layout, they seem to be placed outside the grid even though I've followed your instructions closely. Could you possibly shed some light on what I may be doing incorrectly? 😄

Hello! Thanks for the comment. There are three areas to check, the saved view settings of the interior elevations, the master layout settings, and then the default settings of the drawing which gets created when you place your IE's on the layout. 1) Make sure the view setting is "Fit in Window" with unchecked "Ignore zoom and rotation". 2) Under the Master Layout, make sure it's set to Align and Assign Drawings to a Grid with appropriate Grid Setup that will be large enough to fit your views at the scale you are saving them! (Note, if the IE's are larger than the space within your grid, it make likely be the cause of them being placed outside..., try a different scale and see if this works) 3. Make sure the drawing is set to "Fit Frame to Drawing. Test it out and let me know if that helps!

@@CONTRABIM Thank you so much for the response. It still doesn't work for me though and what's more, the interior elevation doesn't recognise the zone it's in. I've tried replacing, renaming, moved it in and out of the zone but nothing seems to work. Also a random symbol for front-slash appears on some when using the . Weird!

John, do you dimension/label those I.Es. inside the view or on the layout sheet? Cause if you do it in the view the fit to drawing will make them bigger. Do you take that into account or how do you manage annotations in there?

Hi Alex. Sorry for the delayed reply! Yes when you add notes and labels outside the frame of the room, it definitely will create a larger drawing on the layout. For the most part this is OK, but if you have a ton of externally placed dimensions and labels, you may need to resize the drawing. A lot of the time IE's are the same scale as the floor plans (1/4" or 1:50), but we actually bumped the scale of these up to make it larger. Wouldn't be a big deal to shrink it down again if needed. Great question!

@@CONTRABIM so what should be done, because elevation without labeling is just a sketch, how we can control label out side the wall frame if it will cause large drawing to make it not fitt in the layout? Make a tutorial with lable and try to keep it in layout book✌️
