For People playing on ATM9, You have to make a Pattern Grid and have some pattern cards. Go into the grid and select processing. Then go into JEI and select the recipe from Powah into the Pattern Grid. The recipe will insert into the grid, then use a blank pattern card to apply. Then go back to the crafter and insert the pattern card with the recipe. It will look like an item, but when you press shift, it will show the card. Hope this helps.

I followed the video several times, and yet mine keeps filling the orb instead of doing 1 gold 1 iron ingot or whatever the recipe calls for. How do I make it so it only puts in one of the ingredient until the orb is empty Edit: Playing on ATM9

@@aroxh4919 I dont know if this is a complete fix but when i looked at the pattern it said 1x emerald 13x spirited crystal, i changed it to a pattern that said 1 and it started to work

I had a decent automation for this in ATM7, more compact than this, but they didn’t update the mod I used for ATM 8 😢 so thank you for this! If I ever return to my LP I’ll have to use this.

LaserIO works really well for the energizers and its super fast.

Worked great in ATM8! Now I am back while playing FTB Skies and basically used this same setup to automate terrasteel. Unfortunately can't double upvote for the double use this video got me.

In case you don't have the redstone control option for your crafter, especially on a server- It's a bug with no real way to fix it, as far as I've seen. From Refined Storage discord: "The order in which specific things are registered needs to match between client and server, but due to a bug that order can be somewhat random" and there's no true way to fix it. Sometimes, reloading your client might help but it's also a random chance. You can try to use a relay to disconnect the crafter. The relay acts like a cable, which means you'd put it between the crafter and the network receiver. Switching the signal, it'll disconnect the crafter, etc. like the Alfred's tutorial. PS. Could use some help. I've set this up, but on my crafting monitor it says "CRAFTING IS LOCKED" If i take off the redstone signal lock, it dumps all the ores inside. I know it should be locked, but why isn't it pushing it in there even if its locked?

Haven’t used modular routers. Found LaserIO does what I need for oddball situations like the orb. It’s really great w/ Elemental Craft.

Yo for all of you playing ATM9 and wondering why the redstone module will not send a signal to the crafter to craft another (crafter locked error) try putting 2 identical redstone modules in the modular router. dont ask why. I have been looking for fixes for hours on end. the only thing that ended up fixing it, was 2 identical detector modules.

I have this problem in ATM9, says crafter is locked. To be clear, you are using a second modular router next to the first one with the same upgrades? Or are you using a second detector redstone module in one SINGULAR modular router?

I've set it up exactly the same, but get a "crafter is locked" error. Basically it runs once then everything breaks and I'm not sure whats going on with it

Thanks, been scratching my head about this for a while (Using All the Mods 9) worked fine, only issue I'm having now is that after i craft something in the Energizer after some time it become locked (I assume the redsone signal expired?) and i have to go toggle the crafter from Pulse to ignore and back to craft another set. (un sue what i did wrong)

Can’t u put out automation for awakened supremium alters absolute pain when doin loads of the same item.

I’m trying to make Unobtainum-Allthemodium Alloy Ingot, I am assuming I can’t craft 64 at a time. I just have to click one and then it automatically keeps going? Because if I click craft 10 or anything more than one, it tries to put too many items in. Update: I figured it out. I moved things around and the crafter wasn’t set to pulse so if you move things around, double check the settings it works great.

So I'm using Netherite Crafters in ATM8 as well and I'm wondering how I can use the max crafting speed on them. At the moment, I'm outputting into Netherite Chests then feeding into the machines to process from there, but with 4x Speed Upgrades, I find that the Netherite Chest still limit the speed of the crafters, and I'm wondering if you have a solution? This is mainly an issue for recipes that require 100k+ of several materials to be processed.

Alright, so I haven't fully tested this setup just yet, but you can actually point the crafter to a storage controller. For every 2x2 drawer that is linked to the controller, it adds +4 slots to the Crafter for speed. I can't think of how I'd pull items out of the controller after it requests a recipe, but it might get you started into thinking about it.

i fugred out out the one had to be set to lock mode below the orb

In ATM9 for whatever reason when I try telling it to make blazing crystals, my blaze rods vanish into thin air and nothing is done.

I just made a powah setup LITERALLY LAST NIGHT LMAO

So im having this weird issue where requesting 1 energized steel it works fine (multiple requests of other items work fine too) but when requesting more than 1 energized steel it will run the first craft but won't input the second lot of gold and iron (requesting multiple of the other items works just fine)

To those of you who still didn't figure this out my issue was that the router would pull the ingot but not send a redstone signal. after looking at his other video he didn't mention in this one that you have to put the puller module in first and then the redstone module next. and it should automate from there. you have to put them in order. from left to right.

How did u manage to go to Crafting Grid and basically just pick how much u want to craft? im in ATM 9. I did the whole setup but i have no idea how to automate this with crafting grid. Idk how to get into that without going to my crafting grid. But theres no way for me to just click on how many i want to make just like in your video. Hope you can still respond to me after months! I also do not have those "Crafts" of Blazing Crystal, Niotic Crystal etc. So i dont know exactly how u did it with those.. Am i missing something to access Crafting Grid and putting the amount i want to be crafted?

This sounds like you need to set up autocrafting using the Crafters via Refined Storage. I'd look up a tutorial on that if you haven't done that yet!

I’m on atm9 and for some reason it won’t transfer the items it is creating and I don’t know why. It managed to create a blazing reactor but not it won’t create anything else

for some reason the crafted items i want to have set in the crafter it wont let me put it in

Mine was working great at the start. But now refiend storage is broken and it's saying 'crafter is locked'..please help?

so im playing ATM6 and it works for the most part but it is inserting more then 1 at a time of blaze rods for example into the energizing orb while the energizing orb will only start if there is 1 item in it. How do i make sure it only inserts 1 item into the energizing orb at a time ?

@@AlfredGGMC OK so i found out what the problem was, you cant use the crafters from extra storage in ATM6 causse there is no redstone setting on them, there is a redstone setting however on the standard crafter from refined storage.

So I had no issue on the Ragnamod modpack, it worked very well and I found your video super useful !! But, on ATM9, it doesnt work. Somehow, the gold crafter only crafts once, and then stop. Then, I have to break the crafter because it's "locked". Idk why but everything works, just it's not autocrafting more than one ;'(

Just tried this in atm9 and it worked the first time and then I tried a few times after that and ended up completely losing 64 emeralds (I tried doing the +64 option).

The crafter doesnt seem to be accpetibg the items the blazing crystal and energizing steel im not playing any mod packs do i need to add something else

I figured it out in Atm9 you need Pattern Grid to make Crystals,Steel and other patterns, then you insert those patterns into Crafter, and then you craft them from Crafting Grid :)

@@ZumFaxThst’s not ATM9. That’s how the crafters always work in Refined Storage. You need the patterns in the crafters. If it’s a processing recipe they need to be in the crafter that’s pointing at the machine that’s going to perform the craft.

@@leegale1397 I have phytogenic insulators for every Mystical Agriculture seed using Universal Pipes for inputting items/RF and ultimate logistical transporters for outputting. This setup doesn't produce nearly as many essences as my 9x9 setup using the player interaction interfaces with Mystical Agriculture Scythes, but it's a good method to have a simple, constant source of various essences.

@@leegale1397t’s not that hard. A really basic overview is you use one channel(energy)to power everything, export from source and import into machine. One channel(fluid) to export from a sink and import into the machine. One channel(item) to export from machine and import into storage. I have crafters in the system to process the essence. The output is then typically moved into a progression of compacting drawers. You want to use advanced connectors since they can mimic sides. This allows you do everything on one face. But you have to set up each connector. You can simplify it by using pipez for the water. This way you don’t have to mimic any faces. I used this type of setup to make a lot of resources. Had two of the largest compact machines loaded w/ six rows of 72 phytos. Red print made the phyto setup easy. The xnet controller configuration will be manual.

when i do this is it inputs several diamonds into the energizing orb so it wont make a niotic crystal. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Make sure to double check that the crafter is set to "Redstone Pulse inserts next set"

This still works in 2024 with the change that the crafter needs to be on top on the orb pointing/looking down.

This setup fails when the energizing orb outputs two finished materials (for example, energized steel). It might work on a couple, but the system soon gets into a race condition and the detector module won't pulse correctly and the RS crafter doesn't place the materials.

You need to make the pattern for the item you want to make in the crafter. Go to your crafting grid and make a pattern. You will also need a pattern grid (looks like crafting monitor under refined storage). Connect the pattern grid to your controller. Once that’s done, go to pattern grid and find whatever item you want to make, let’s say spirited crystals. You need to add that to the pattern grid and then to the right there is a slot to add the blank pattern, place blank pattern in that slot and then craft it. Once you’ve done that, take the completed pattern item (spirited crystal pattern) and then put that item into the crafter (you should be able to add to crafter)

Sounds like the puller module isn't set up properly!

Works fine you must have made an error, make sure the crafter is facing the energizing orb, when you right click the crafter it should say energizing orb at the top
