‘guess an opportunity to study in England it’s a motivation on itself

It's conceivable that, within the next 200 years, English may no longer be the lingua franca. Other languages, like Spanish and Chinese, could supercede or join English as a lingua franca. For English to hold its position as a lingua franca, I believe it needs to evolve in the following way: 1. Spelling needs to become more phonetic and consistent i.e. spelling should be consistent with the phonemes. 2. Reduce the number of vowel phonemes to bring more in line with other languages. 20 vowel phonemes is an excessive quantity. This could be reduced to 10. 3. The excessive number of idiomatic expressions and phrasal verbs could also be reduced, perhaps by keeping those in frequent use as a priority for everyday communication. The English language could still include a wider lexicon for poetry and stories, but this shouldn't be essential for other types of communication in work, study or social situations. 4. Modal verbs could also be reduced. 5. The subjunctive mood is so little used that it might as well not exist in English. Only lawyers, writers, politicians and poets make full use of this. Obviously, language will evolve naturally overtime, although the Internet and digital communication in general are now the biggest influence on modern English, for good or for bad depending on one's perspective.

Good luck, Brexit has put a damper on that.
