How to attach wood to aluminum extrusion
Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль
Honestly I haven't seen how other people are doing it but this is how I do it and it's been working well. Here are Amazon Affiliate Links for these hardwares. The aluminum extrusion I'm using is 1" or 25 mm square so keep that in mind.

Great Ideas! really gets me thinking how I can apply it to my own projects. Thank you!
Thanks for the how to video as well as the links. When people list the links like you do, it makes it so much easier to get the right stuff for the job. I enjoy all of your videos and you make it easy to understand how you do your van build projects. Thanks again!

Cool thanks for the feedback Mark
Thank you so much for sharing this video. I've been waiting for this segment. I'm planning a self conversion with extruded aluminum and do not have much experience with building. This information was extremely helpful. Many thanks for the explanations.

Oh good. Glad to hear. Good luck on your build.
Excellent! Thank you so much for this video. I'm very keen to use 80/20 to build cabinets in my van conversion but had problems trying to find info on attaching it to walls and windows. This is right on target! Again, thank you and especially for the link info.

Oh perfect, you're very welcome. Have fun building your Campervan 😊
Great video description of your process. I love how everyone does things a little different. I've been working on ways to mount my panels flush inside the extrusion. Seems I may have figured it out the other day. Great stuff man🙏

what did you do and how did it go? I'm thinking of centering 9mm plywood within the 4040 channels, but I'm not sure what to do in the corners.

@@nikzel the process went well. How are your extrusions connected? If using corner brackets, that will complicate things a bit. I used mesh panel brackets from 8020 and secured them to the back side of my panels.
You are a star Bo! Thanks so much for this vid 😁
Great way to attach it!! Thank you.
Much needed info sir
Why didn't I think of this? Thanks alot for the idea!!!
Love your videos. The links above seem to be for 2020 series hardware but you say you are using 1" 1010 series. What am I missing?

You're not missing anything. They still fit.
I am afraid that the T Nuts you are suggesting will rust since they are made of carbon steel.
What do you use when you’re connecting two 80/20 adjacent each other like 11. Side to side?

I think the word I was looking for was flat brace. Basically a 2” brace with 2 holes at the center lines of 2 aluminum extrusion. The ones on Amazon aren’t there and tnuts is still kinda expensive. What do you use for those types of connections?

I think Tnuts are least expensive. The flat angle brackets run about $2-$4 a piece. Check out the accessories here www.tnutz.com/aff-id/bchuon66/
