assembly took me 10 minutes with this video, thanks guys for this most work was getting 50 meters of hose on the device

Thank goodness for this video. We wouldn't consider ourselves stupid and had actually just assembled a cheaper version from Wilko's without any problem. Came to do this model to use for a longer hose and found the exploded diagram to be of very little help. Video great. Should be signposted on the box!

Much easier to do using this video than trying with the pictures on the box.

Absolutely right. I'm reasonably handy but without finding this I would have struggled. Why on earth doesn't Hozelock put a link to this on the box?

Brought the Hozelock 2in1 Reel with Hose 25m. The frame came assembled apart from the handle which was easy enough to fix although the instructions that came with the product wasn't very clear so wasn't too sure how to attach the connectors to the pipe or the pipe to the frame. This video really helped and saved me making any errors. I did notice however that the spring bit that goes into the pipe was not included with this product as shown in the video

Good points. It seems that Hozelock are finding ways to increase profit margins are we're left to struggle with appalling instructions on the box lid!

Excellent video, the right pace, a few other videos around were too fast. Great little tips also. Thank You So much.

Goodness me. What a fantastic tutorial which saved me the time and hassle in figuring out how to set up my new hose cart. The rest was easy to figure out like installing the wheels. Really excited to put it in action now. Excellently done, to all the Hozelock team 👍

My hose kinked really badly when I wrapped it around the drum. Not smooth like this video. Any ideas?

This is an excellent indispensable assembly video . The instructions on the box are terrible and very difficult to follow correctly. I agree with previous comments that there should be a link to this video on this product’s box. If you haven’t started assembly yet forget what you see and read on the box and follow this, you’ll save a lot of time and frustration!

Mine hasnt got the spring or that connector what goes inside Am i missing a part or was i not meant to get this part?

Really appreciate the video! Very helpful as compared to the diagram on the box The only thing I’m struggling as it is not going on tap with the nozzle. I had to remove the nozzle and put hose end directly on the tap. Any suggestions for using the nozzle? Or different size of nozzle? Thanks

I just fitted the bit of loose pipe onto the tap and fixed it with a jubilee clip

I was struggling with the instructions on the hozelock box for the cart. It wasn't very good instructions. This video link should be put on the box. It would save a hell of a lot of confusion. Well done video instruction!

@@Hozelockcom you haven't addressed the key point. The link is not on the box. Is this the best your customer services can come up with

How do you screw the two screws into the axel? I'm gonna drill holes in the axel so that I can get the screws in. My screws won't go through that metal as easily as yours did🤔 You of course used the right screws! I found them and no drilling was required. I sprayed all the "locking" parts with WD40 PTFE dry silicon lubricant and everything went into place nicely. Unfortunately, the nozzle where the water comes out of the hose, leaks! I tried my old nozzle and there was no leak. I'll contact Hozelock about that. Putting this lot together was a piece of cake. Thanks to your video, lubricant and will power, even an elderly lady like myself could assemble it perfectly.

it is already assembled though pieces are enclosed within the cart when I unraveled the hose very difficult to extract can I use brute force?? a spring seems to have unsprung aaargh!!

@@carolhoward4130 I couldn't agree more. It definitely should be ready assembled but Hozelock can make more profit this way. Of course they'd say it's to reduce cost. Nonsense!

I seem to have the wrong handle for the winder. It's too short and doesn't fit into the arm. Should I return or can you send correct parts?

I need the wall mount Instructions. Not on Website for model 2431

I would seriously pay a bit more for it to arrive fully assembled. A complete nightmare.

No support part as shown on 1:57 in the box of the 2489. Correct or should I return to the dealer?

I found the instructions very difficult to follow on the box. This is a good product spoilt by poor instructions. I know lots of people are baffled by these minute pictures.. This video was a godsend and prevented me from returning the goods. Thank you.

No small screws!

Thanks. I easily followed this guide as I thought they had forgot to include any instructions with my purchase. Only later did I discover the rather useless instructions on the box.

The video is very helpful especially to instruct how the feeder hose is attached. Don’t agree that instructions on the box are useless. I used them to get the framework together. Maybe diagrams are a little small. Perhaps larger ones could be enclosed inside the box.

The video does not show the four large screws being fitted which is impossible if you follow the instructions on the box. Once you assemble the winder you can no longer fit two of the long screws and have to make do with two from the hose side. Should hold the drum halves together but not ideal. According to the video the two halves of the drum are not screwed to each other.

Ok but many people don't go to KZread, they expect good instructions on the box not tiny pictures and no explanatory words

My Hozelock came with zero instructions, and certainly not any link to this video. The parts were randomly distributed between inside the hose reel and a small plastic bag. Perhaps a hobbyist might find assembly challenging, but for nearly everyone else a very poor show. Either CLEARLY make reference to this video, or provide clear instructions with the product.

Why they can't they provide proper instructions on the box. Now I know I've messed up. Really annoyed.

I sympathise John, I'm happy making self assembly cupboard units etc but Hozelock have fallen well short

Absolute rubbish instructions, pictures so small and hard to follow. Mine came pre assembled but had to cut the hose and attach it myself, the water pours out of the internal connecter??? Very disappointed with this product and why not fully assemble it anyway???

Absolutely agree David. I'll always give credit where it's due but unless you happen to find this video you're left with those ridiculous instructions on the box

A nightmare

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT. I watched the video and bought the product on the strength of the nice easy to follow instructions. It looked like it was packed nicely and almost ready to go (Side bar and attachments already assembled and the reel all set up (unlike in the video) . I proceeded to unravel the hose which was all twisted and knotted and I struggled getting it off the reel wrestling with 25m of twisted cross threaded hose which took me at least 3 quarters of an hour. Had I of known this, I wouldn't have bought it. I could have dismantled it all but thinking that the hose was so badly wound on I hated to think what the rest of it would have been like. Why don't they have it already assembled, it would be so easy. Why bother to wind the hose on so badly when you have to remove it from the spool to assemble it and then wind it all back on! Shame, I haven't tried it yet but not particularly optimistic, I still have to assemble it! 😮

Is it just me or are Hozelock products under engineered pieces of overpriced junk? I have several Hozelock products and none of them perform well! Please tell me there is a better UK hose system out there?!
