Thanks for hitting the like button guys :D . BLS Postal Links doesn't seem to be working right now. I have informed BLS through their contact form on the Contact Us page. You can always walk in to a Purolator store nearby and drop off your Passport application but you must print the label(the address of you BLS jurisdiction) first and take it with you to the Purolator store.

Guys just give them a call. Follow this video and for the steps you can't complete, just ask the support agent. They're quite decent actually.

Should a valid 21:21 visa be stamped in the old passport before applying for renewal? For example, I have my student visa stamped in my passport, but it's expired now and I am on my post-graduate work permit now. However, the visa was not stamped after I got the PGWP.

You'll receive your old passport but they will cancel your old passport before issuing a new one. If you have a valid visa on your old passport, you'll need to carry both old and new passports when you travel outside Canada

You must scan and upload both your old and new passports. In your express entry profile you can add multiple passports. The place of issue is where the passport was issued. Check your passport last page for the place of issue.

Her passport expires in 8 months and open workpermit takes close to 4 to 5 months. So for Canadian status is it ok to submit only the visitor visa stamp or we should wait for open work permit. You can apply work permit in 6 months after entry so in between you can renew passport and apply for work permit.

Yes, your Canadian address will appear on your Passport. You don't have to update your address everytime you move to another place. You must update your Passport when you are going to use it as an address proof. In Canada you are not going to use your Indian passport for address proof but when you have to apply for a re-issue or renewal of Passport you must update your current address on your Passport.

I'm glad the video was helpful. Letter of enrolment from university will not be accepted as address proof. If you are living on the University Campus, you need to ask your building supervisor to give you a letter mentioning your address on the University Campus. If you are certain you'll move to the future address, then provide your future address. A Photocopy of your valid study visa and study permit must be included in your Tatkal application package.

What happens if the Indian passport has already been expired.

Bro I have submitted it by postal application and I tracked it via purolator website, it shows it is delivered. But how can I tack the status of the passport? When i enter the details on the bls website it shows no records found for the website. One more update: The postal payment link is not working so you can contact the BLS via call and they will manually assist you and send you payment link. Thanks

If you area PR you can't use your Indian address as printable address on your Passport application. Go through the document checklist of the video and the BLS sample application form.

No, you can't go to BLS or Indian Consulate general without an appointment. Either wait till a slot becomes available or mail in your application through the postal process

I have 2 questions. 1.) As a student, can I show my study permit as a proof of address as it has my address mentioned on top of it. 2.) I live in Toronto and the dates and the appointment dates are not available till next month. Only address-proof documents listed in the checklist are accepted. The list doesn't state that they accept study permits as address proof. You'll need to submit your study permit anyway but you must submit another acceptable document for address proof. Yes, you can book an appointment at Brampton BLS center if it's available

when you apply for Re-issue you'll need to send your original passport to BLS along with your application. You can't just send your application and keep your passport with you.

BLS seems to have disabled postal application through their website but they do it on call. Call BLS Ottawa centre for postal. You can find the call centre number on the BLS contact page.

If we choose to send the application by postal, do we need to send our original passport along with photocopy ?

First apply for Passport Re-issue (Re-issue reason: addition of spouse name & if required change of address) and once you have you new Passport apply for study permit extension. Apply for Re-issue immediately as it takes 1.5 - 2 months to process your application.

So we can renew our passport just 1 Yr before the expiry? So if we have 2 Yr left for the expiry of passport and we need to add spouse name and will they issue the passport with new information and new expiry date?

They might accept your application. Once a BLS employee checks your application and if you have submitted all the documents they might correct your checklist and mark the answer as no and forward it to the Indian Embassy for processing.

@@dhairyabhatt6892 I wouldn't suggest calling BLS. The call won't reach the BLS employee who will oversee your application. It will go to the BLS call centre agent. I'm guessing a lot of people will not have answered the same question as you. Even I didn't do that right in the video as it's barely visible at the top of the checklist. BLS might have been accepting all the applications who didn't answer the first question. So just wait an see.

Hi bro. BLS rejected my application stating that my signature on the application doesn't match with the passport. They have asked if I would like to change my signature I will have to write a self declaration for change in my signature. What shall I do? The nearest embassy with respect to your address in Canada. If you are residing in Vancouver then the embassy choice must be Canada Vancouver.

It's secure if you use the Purolator service as suggested by BLS. Before mailing your original passport scan and save a digital copy of your passport and all visa stamps.

Don't apply for Tatkal because they won't approve it. It happened with my friend and then he had to apply regular application@@sahanaanantha9220
