    Did anybody else notice the damage to the d & N on the dEVIL & SONs logo is magicly gone in the final finish pic. He deff started over.

    Ahh, I see. The way the font is deliberately broken in the print? I think what I did is varnish the logo, then decided to paint the gaps in to make it stand out a bit more on the yellow.then more varnish. I don't have any decals with a solid print. Anyway, I guess that's what I did, it's too long ago to remember

    I've only ever tried a poly or nitro finish, or my favourite spraymax 2k.

    Can you go onto a bare headstock my friend? I read somewhere that your supposed to have a layer of lacquer down 1st? Cheers Matt Couldn’t help laugh when you said it’s ready to slide off the back lol 😂

    Ha, glad it was funny. It definitely adheres better if something is there. I think the adhesion primer will help though if you really aren't able to coat the headstock first. Assuming you are going to lacquer over the top it may be worth doing a coat first, or using a sealer first anyway which is good to do instead of clear coating on to bare wood.
