What I like about all these videos is that they get right to it, no chattering and endless introduction

I agree
Jenny, you are a natural-born teacher!! Your enouragement is just what so many of us need. I have seen many of your classes and am very impressed - you go Girl! :)
So simple! I thought appliqué would be hard. I did some spiders on a Halloween quilt. I think I’ll need to go back over my straight stitch with a zigzag to give the legs a hairy look, but this is much easier than I thought! Thanks!! 😊
Thankyou so very much,,,you made it look so easy and so enjoyable,,,😊❤
Wow! I thought it was something that would be more difficult and tricky. Now I’ve got a find me a nice coloring book with some cool roosters, that is the thing I am working on and hoping to do. Thanks for making it so easy to understand and to do.
This is amazing, I was raised on english paper piecing and for years thought it was the only kind and was always amazed when I saw quilts like this. It looks so easy as well in think I'm going to have to try it out
Your tutorials are the best! I love the ease of free motion quilting after the applique has been sen on in this pattern.
Now I know what Appliqué is all about. I’m taking a class next month and I’m really excited now. Thank you so much
You explained it perfectly. Thank you 😅
This makes so much sense! I had no idea how to applique before watching that and now I feel like I could start right away if I had the iron-on material. Thank you!
Jenny you are just the bomb! We so love you. I am so inspired by all you teach us. I've made your zig zag table runner, the charm square tote bag and the double cut layer cake quilt and I've only been sewing since November. You truly do take the mystery (fear) out of giving new techniques a try. Its like you're my very own personal teacher who comes to my house and shows my step by step how much fun I can have with needle, thread, beautiful fabric and creativity. My husband and I were piled up in the bed this past weekend and I pulled up utube on my tablet, chromecasted it onto my TV and watched (together I might add) your amazing videos, one after the other. When we came to the bluebell orange peel quilt my husband said "I want you to make that one". Can you believe it? You've even found a way to bring us close over quilting!!! As I've already said, you're the BOMB! if I'm ever in Missouri you can count on a visit from me :)

How do you iron it on double-sided sticky paper without adhering it to something else?
Thank you thank you thank you I can't even express how much I really needed to know about this applicatque stuff. Straightforward right to the point wonderful wonderful video
I love to applique! This video took the fear out of trying it. This is by far one of my fave tutorials. Thanks!
Thank you so much Jenny/MissouriQuiltCo I am going to make an applique quilt for each of my grandchildren as a keepsake. This makes it so much easier to transfer things they have drawn me onto each quilt. I just love watching your videos you make it so easy. Thanks again :)
I am a self taught sewer and this is one of the things I did not know how to do and now thanks to you I can you are a great teacher!

Always practical and cheerful - thank you for the tips....
!Jenny you have certainly taken the mystery out of appliqueing. I have to have a go.
fabulous no fuss tutorial! absolutely loved it! thank you so much!
Thank you so much. I have stayed away from appliqué seemed to hard. You always make things easier.
I appreciate your video. It made it so simple for the beginner quilter. I am learning so much about the quilting world. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed about all the information, but the more it is also the color rush too. I am a colorful person. I love the different color palettes. I am designing fabrics. Now just to go from idea to paper, to fabric and to quilt. You can't miss a step. I also got a job working with fabric to help with my learning. Thanks again. You have a new follower.
You’ll always be my go to for learning. Thanks for all you do
I have learned so much from watching your tuterols please keep up the good work for those of us that want to learn something new
I have watched many of your videos and appreciate your teaching ability. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge.
Thank you for posting this! I bought an applique wall hanging pattern, but I really didn't know how to applique or where to start. Now I do - yippee! :)

Jenny Doan. Does it again, awesome, thank you
Oh my goodness, Thank You! I kept wanting to try this but it always looked too difficult. Now I know I can do it.
Thank you for these tutorials, I'm nominating you to create the Quilting for Dummies book :) you make it so easy, besides the fact that you are so nice. I had never dared to appliqué! Greetings from Mexico.
Thank you so much - this is great! I can't wait to try this out :)
I'm sooooooo inspired and ready to try this
Inspiring. Love R Kauffman material.
Love your videos. Thanks so much!
I see that jellyroll in fabric stores and wondered how you use it lol... wow.. thanx so much..cleared my head ~very helpful..
Thank you for such a clear tutorial!
Thank you! I love the tutorial and the quilt!
beautiful work, thank you i learning about applique and you explain very easy and simply ,love you videos.
U did take the mystery out, i am much more confident and will try applique! Ty for the video!
Thanks for this tutorial. I'm glad I watched it. I have done appliqué before, but this gave me a really good idea for a quilt for my new niece who is expected to arrive in June or July. I've been debating a simplified crazy quilt or appliqué. With this idea I can do both and not spend a lot of time on the appliqué! :-)
Love this quilt Jenny. Brilliant instructions and gorgeous fabric. Thank you for taking the time to make this video
That’s really beautiful-!!
Love this. Great idea
amazing work
I love it. Great idea
Thank you!!!
I love this video! I would like to add a couple things. You can also use a LIGHT weight interfacing if you don't have the paper. As long as it's not a heavy weight like you'd use for place mats, collars, or pot holders. It'd have to be a weight like what you might use for a cloth napkin but it'd work too and, for someone like me, it also makes the pieces easier to handle especially if it's an intricate pattern. (don't use your interfacing if it's too heavy of a weight 'cause it'll make it too thick and could cause problems when you try to get your needle through all the batting and fabric PLUS the interfacing so I wouldn't use it if yours is too thick. And you don't want awkward stiff flat planes on your topper.) Lastly the smaller or more involved your shapes are the harder it is to sew down practically with a machine so keep that in mind. The more your shape has sharp corners or tight organic lines the more fussing with a machine you'll be doing and the shape might not turn out as intended. Things you can do to mitigate these problems: 1. Pick shapes you can layer easily to create the more intricate pattern. 2. Use bigger versions of the shape so the outer edge is easier to follow. or 3. Hand sew it. I find with some shapes it's just way easier to hand sew it rather than fight my machine. I'll upgrade it eventually but as of now I just have the Brother Quilting machine.....It's a great machine but there are some limitations that are just irritating me XD.
Beautiful and very good explanation thank you
This seemed really intimidating but watching your video, I’m excited to try it now
Thanks! Not so scared to try now.
This is great tutorial. Thank you
thanks this was a great help!
Terrific!
thanks I love it
I have learned a lots of thing on this video thank you
@TeeWentNatural the heat and bond is sticky on both sides, but one side is covered in waxy paper. After ironing it on to the fabric and cutting out your piece, you take the paper off and position it where you want it, and then iron again. the adhesive on the back that was under the paper is still there and will adhere it to the blanket.
Great tutorial. Just wish the kits for Row by Row were as simple as your boat. But it gives me a bit of hope.
you are such a fantastic teacher
Thank you!
Thanks Jenny, because I am getting into a project like this. However, I am confused about 1 thing. I have seen that people put the design on a light box to reverse the design, especially if it is lettering. So you did not have to do that because you are working on the wrong side of the fabric? What a great idea to put a strip of fabric into a quilt and add cute applique. You could do that with many pieced quilts!
video was great, thank you..
thank you for making it so easy!!!
Hi Jenny does the applique stick back onto the quilt great video watch your tutorials all the time thanks Angela
WOW I also love the back of this quilt how did you get it done? love it
I need some heat and bond to do this with! I'm putting it on my to do list now!
I'm wondering could I do this with regular fusible interfacing and then just use a basting spray to adhere to the project until I stitch the edges??
I found the tutorial thank you.
Very helpful. Where should I look for the sticky paper?
Is it better to applique with the heat-n-bond or is it better to use the freezer paper method like Jan does?
Thanks so much Jenny- this was very clearly explained. I'm very interested in the yellow quilt behind you over your left shoulder. Could you please let me know where I could find the pattern info ?? Many thanks.
I love your tutorials. Am looking for one that I thought was called herringbone. Used the tube to cut the diagonal stripe block. Can you tell me what number it is>
So...the paper backing comes off and leaves sticky stuff on it so it stays in place for the edging and quilting?
❤
I just bough some fabric from your web site Im going to give the applique a try...
When you say it is pressed on before stitching, what it pressed on?
When you did the blanket stitch did you have the quilt sandwiched? Or did appliqué and then sandwiched and quilted all over?
I am making a polish santa quilt doing the applique. But when I did the blanket stitch the glue from the applique gums up my needle and messes up my blanket stitch. Am I doing something wrong?
The points of my triangles fray.
what is a blanket stitch? can i do this pprocess with a family photo printed from a printer?
what is the heat and bond product used? there are so many products out there, I can't figure out which one works best for applique (newbie here)
LOL.. Duh... I am working on appliqueing a sweatshirt for a friend and using the Wonder Under for the fusible applique pieces. I wasn't sure how I was going to do my lettering at first... I was possibly going to do a cross stitch of purple metallic like floss or even regular purple on waste canvas on a fabric and then applique it onto the sweatshirt! (That looked like a complete failure after I spent 8 hrs doing the test stitches so I chucked that idea!) I then resorted back to my alphabet I had printed from the fonts of Microsoft Word ... they were like 1 inch letters. I calmly cut around each letter to prep it for the applique and then traced the letter onto my prepared cloth with the Wonder Under attached... see why I laughed... Crazy Me forgot I could just trace the outlines of my objects right onto the paper and then fuse the Wonder Under to the material and eliminate one cutting step. I wish I would have watched this video before I did that!! LOL
Mine kept doing that until I saw that I could change the quality of the film. It's the little flower looking wijit under the film itself. click on it and it will give you options as to the resolution of the film. You can change it from HD to something a little easier for your computer to accept.
may i ask where you got your designs from ?? i’m looking for flowers & vines designs
ok this may be a crazy question but I thought u took the paper off the back of the pieces...how does it now stick to the fabric before u began sewing or did u use somethin else? I think I missed something.

She did take the paper off, you must have missed it.
so you iron on the wrong side of the fabric or the right side?

She ironed the heat and bond on the wrong side of the fabric.
I do counted cross stitch and I'm trying to figure out how to put the items on clothing items. I'm hoping that using the Fusible Webbing will do the trick. I'm making my granddaughter Gracie the Disney Princesses and want to put them individually on a Jean jacket for her for Christmas this year. Please help me to figure out how to do this. Thanks so much for reading this. Judi
So let me get this right...you put the paper down on the right side of fabric? or the wrong side...are both side sticky?
aight bet
How does the fabric not fray at the edges?
I'm about to applique dinosaurs on a baby quilt. Does this method fray at all?
Where can I get this pattern?
the applique pieces don't thread?
My sewing machine repairman told me not to use Heat N Bond...it gums up the sewing machine. Is there a sewing machine friendly version of this product?
What is a blanket stitch?
Why did this vido freeze
Why did this vido freeze? I hope Iget to the end.
I don't understand how you stick the applique to the fabric. You say 'ironed on' does that mean it's a special fabric that sticks?
