"One block at a time, it isn't hard at all." That's really helpful! Thanks, Jenny.
Thank you Jenny for sharing your knowledge and love of the art of sewing.
it seems like people post questions and get no answer. I love to applique. So here's some answers. Thread should match the patch you are applying not the background. For multicolored applique pieces, keep various shades of grey and taupe on hand as they blend well, the finer the better. Or purchase invisible thread, aka monofilament thread, clear or smoke. Silk is supposed to be best because it is fine but it is relatively expensive and tangles easily. The easiest method is fusible but can be very stiff. Check your local library, there are several good teachers out there. Enjoy, it's a great creative outlet.

I am so glad you do so many vids on so many subjects. It is funny I don't even look for your vids but again and again something I look for comes up with you in it. You do good vids with good content. Thank You!!
That little sailboat quilt was really adorable! I would love to see a tutorial on how to do that for my little baby grandson's room.
New to quilting but not sewing.Love the videos.
I have to learn how to do this….because it is so beautiful!
I LOVE ALL YOUR WORK!
I love dresdens and the qpplique quilt you made with them is really nice :)
I got back into quilting big time this winter after several years of being away. Found many KZread videos and Jenny was showing up again and again. At first I thought she was an employee of MSQC. Hahaha! Found the videos revealing the MSQC history. Wow! So touching and encouraging. I was curious to see how it all began with the tutorials. After several attempts at scrolling, scrolling, scrolling I found the pull down menu to arrange videos with the oldest first. I’ve had such a good time watching Jenny grow in confidence and let her true inner light shine. My phone or iPad sit by my sewing machine. Videos run while I’m sewing. One day I hope to visit Hamilton. Hugs, Zizi
you are awesome Jenny!
Love your youtube videos. Thank you
I like this, she is very helpful, and makes everyone feel that they can do the 'classic' blocks, but faster and easier. Thanks.
When you applique on a quilt do you go through all three fabrics?
Thank you!
always something new with Jenny. love it.
I made a Raggedy Ann Aplique once. So cute.
Is the needle turn applique done before it's quilted or after? If done before, do you quilt over it or around it? If you quilt around it, doesn't that look kind of odd on the back of the quilt? Same question for machine applique; do you quilt over it or around it?
Jenny, I love your videos. But I"m wondering if you could show us how to choose the thread colors & do we need to change the colors when we quilt an appliqued wall hanging. I made one for the 4th of July, my top half of the quilt is dark blue with stars & the bottom half is green for the grass. I never thought about the blue thread I choose being on the grass. But its there now. Can you teach us how to decide what colors to use and do we need to change them for things like that? Thanks so much!
I have never knew. It is just a project that we were given
How do you keep the appliqué from fraying? Do you turn the edges under before sewing on?
Do you design and cut out your own appliqué or do you buy them ready made?
Gorgeous
Whut okay... so I'm nearing 30 years of age... and I love to craft but classic quilts aren't always my style. She pulled out that jellyroll quilt I was like "yeah, okay I guess" and the she flipped out those SAILBOATS and they got me!
The videos title is niot correct, but she does have a good ijstructional video on how to actually applique
How do you do a enfold bind?
Do you have an applique tutorial?
What is saro paper? I looked up chalk paper and I can't find this product. Thanks!
She said what applique means but she doesn't say how to do applique!!! (:

Hi Zuuluu, I have to admit to you I do not remember watching this video or commenting on it, must have been half asleep, I usually comment with more detail. There are several more videos on this, one is How to Applique with fusible Adhesive that would probably be the easiest way to do it. Hope this helps.
How to sew on an appliqué
Man. All of these videos claiming to show you how to applique and none of them actually show it. I purchased a craftsy that just skipped over it, expecting that I already knew it. Sheesh.
She doesn't really explain how she just goes on and on about different methods you COULD use IF you knew how.
This is not a “How To” video, it does not show how to accomplish this at all.
Your video was decent but you never ,mention how to get started and I need to know that first.
Lol
This is a video of appliqué examples not how to do it.
she said nothing about how to quilt, just showed a quilt with sailboats and pointed out the boats... it's not even a good looking quilt??
