Ғылым және технология
Hy There,
In this video i will show you the process of home anodising aluminium.
with anodising we make protection layer on aluminium surface, process isn't that simple but i hope this step by step video will help you to understand process of anodising.
it's far from industrial anodising, but also after years some tools i anodised is still in grape shape, it may heave some scratch but colour is still amazing.
If you are from UK chronos sell kits for anodising withe everything you need for home anodising:

I saw a few videos about anodizing but your is the most comprehensive and you gave some tips I never saw before. My wife saw me watching this 3 times and said: I see you coming., now you will be anodizing every single piece of aluminium on this home. 😅
You're super awesome! You explain this in such an extravagant way of being quite detailed yet settled I'm picking up all the little notes and I can't wait to get started on trying anodizing myself.
The parts came out looking great and it looks like the best solution for small batch situations or if you wanted to test a few different colors. Nice job!
Nice, clear description of process, thanks!
I watched your video here about a dozen times. I bought everything needed and my first sample piece worked great. I"ve since done several parts I wanted Anodized, and they all turned out better than expected. One thing I've noticed is temp. seems very important. I did one batch that the acid (Sodium bisulfite) bath temp. was only 65 degrees F. and they didn't do as well. The 140 degree F. die (Caswell die) was very slow to penetrate. Since then I've done several more with the acid bath at 78 - 80 degrees F. with exellent results. ***** Thanks so much for your very informative video. I would recommend this process to anyone wanting to anodize aluminum.

Thanks for feedback and adittional info, i set once too high amp and leave when come back acid got about 60 degree, problem was that solution start evapurate and every steel part in workshop become rusty. I bealive as you say about 30 degree C is the key for good result, if it's too hot h2so4 will cristalize that happen to me when it was overheaten.
Very cool, brother, great video! I will definitely try this.
Very useful information thanks a lot 🙏 God bless us all
Great great, many thanks
Fascinating - all you need to know in in 13 minutes. Thanks,
Great Video. Do you know if the Kroma Kolors are lightfast? Do they keep the colors the same when left outside in the sun or rain?
Thanks for your video 👍😊
Hola! Vale cualquier tipo de aleacion de aluminio? O hay alguna "serie" que no sirva?
Odlično,hvala!
Mind Blown. Our cloths dryers in the US do not have tanks to capture the water. Oh and learning how something is done is awesome too!

You do have them, they are called condensating dryers

A portable dehumidifier is another good source of distilled water. Maybe air-conditioning? Not sure about the latter.

Cool!
verry good you
Thank you for the video, I plan to do it myself. Just one question: if I make some error and the part will not look nice (pale color, spots, stripes, not a uniform color, whatever, I think there are possible errors to make especially for a beginner) how can I save the part, ie. can I remove the failed anodizing, or what is proper way of redoing it?

Sure just repeat 1 step and all gone.
Great video! But I didn't understand the sealing step. How does just boiling in water seal it? (Did I miss something?)

Zelo lep video.

Lp

I think you can skip this step and it work anyway but didn't try so i don't know the result. If you shorten time of first step part also won't be so black

@@Snakebloke i think it's depend on temperature but don't know more, there are lot of formulas, i think i get brighter surface if i make last step (sealing) direct into painted destilated water, not in basic water, after colouring.
Holy Moly! You need MUCH better protection working with nitric acid.
