Here's a helpful tip from a professional animator who's worked with Tim Burton. Do the pose lined up to your reference every 10 or 12 frames or so. And then I know you're not going to rotate all around the pose. You just want it to match one camera angle but still rotate all around it and make those poses nice shape. Then go through and sort of break down the in between poses, adjusting your character and everything. Because if you go every frame by every frame you can like force some gimbal log or weird deformation of the geometry relative to that single angle still.

@@Marvel_Motions ohhh that's amazing!!!:D, I'm basically just starting so I was wondering if you could give me any tip, something that made your animations significantly improve kind of tip?
big tip for anyone in the comments here : dont go frame by frame right away. do it every 12 frames. then go back over it and see where more keyframes are needed, place a keyframe inbetween (at the 6 frame mark) , then repeat this process until you're adding in the last little details that DO need to be frame by frame. you'll save yourself a lot of time and it'll be easier to adjust animations when there's not a million keyframes when there's no need for them. (every 12 frames because it divides easily into 6,3 and 1. if you want a REAL rough set of keyframes to start with you can even do every 24 frames,48 frames and so on, but that's generally too big a gap to really be helpful (assuming a 24 or 30 fps timeline))

You can also now use Ai to turn the video into motion data

Its technically rotomatiom, yes, as in, Rotoscope 3d Animation, the old technique you spoke of, was just rotoscoping.

Great tutorial, really cool result, and an awesome scene for the animation, this deserves a sub.
Dude !! Frickin awesome vid! Exactly what I needed! You sir are a wizard!
Looks amazing
I believe they have a plugin or app that turns your raw footage into an animated rig that you can bind to your mesh. Don't remember what it's called, but I also like this method for starting so that you can learn it yourself rather than having tech to do it for you.

This an old ass technic that needs some love, make sure to pay attention to the movement, distance between arms for example
Tip: use one of those new Video-to-3D Generative AI Software to create an Animation (.FBX) from the Clip you recorded with your Smartphone.
DUDE DAMN
Thats brutally time consuming vs a mocap suit though. Is there a way to maybe get a ruff animation first to then adjust using modern AI? Have you made a video on this?

How many hours did this rotomation take?
Do you have a fully detailed video about this process....I'm still learning
K great tutorial . . . But how do I actually do it? How do I find the background image thing and move around the model like that and pretty much everything
now show us how to convert that animation to move in place 🔥🔥🔥

Amazing....could you please let me know the platform to learn more about making such animation?
When I import the video it slows it down drastically. Does anyone know how to fix it? Or am I doing it wrong???
@randomdudr
Жыл бұрын
You are doing it fine. Blender plays frame by frame. You'll have to either find a way to sync to audio on your playback speed. Also note the frame rate of your video and render using the same frame rate. It should work just fine

good learning tool to see bone placement, rotation, and timing but will not help in the long run.

which one is better, for every frame or every two frame?
