Тәжірибелік нұсқаулар және стиль

Here's an easy way to anchor a swing set to the ground by setting the swing posts in concrete footings. The summer time means backyard fun and home improvement DIY projects, even some backyard renovation if necessary. If you have an unruly swing set or just unruly kids that play extra rough on a swing set that is not anchored to the ground, then you know the type of trouble it can create. If you have a swing set or a playground or playhouse with a swing, then you may need to check out our video of how to fix a rocking swing set. This easy method uses concrete to stabilize and anchor your swing set by giving you four concrete post essentially.

I used the rebar method for my kids. Never had a problem. I needed this refresher before I "plant" my granddaughter's swing set.

I welded some angle cut pole sleeves onto a steel plate and put threaded rod in some poured buried /pylons . I just slide the legs into the sleeves and they’re kept with a long Clevis pin. I can move the swing set whenever I want but the bases are stationary.

Surprised that depth was deep enough, but it appears to be so 😊

Great video. I’m gonna use the Rebar technique too. I’m installing on a sloping yard so I figure I’ll go deeper on the higher legs and level it off.

That sounds like a fantastic idea! The rebar just gives it some extra strength from ever pulling out of the concrete footings. Best of luck and thanks for checking out our video!

Question, if I can't afford to let the swing set get lower (letting the legs go into the hole) how can I anchor this down?

You can always use the method this guy uses in his video - kzread.info/dash/bejne/ppyt0Lt_mKiwo9o.html Here are the materials needed to do this: platinum heritage 4 ground anchors, 18 inches long. 4 big hose clamps. 4 turnbuckles. 4 links from turnbuckle to ground anchor. clamp upper part of turnbuckle to leg.

Don’t you loose a good foot if not more on height?

It was about 8 inches, but just moved the chains up slightly on the swings and we were good to go. Definitely worth it to have it anchored down.

Here's a quick image of different types of drill bits. You'll need one rated for drilling into metal: www.carpentry-tips-and-tricks.com/drill-bits.html Here's the set I used in the video which are titanium and rated for metal and other materials: www.homedepot.com/p/Milwaukee-SHOCKWAVE-IMPACT-DUTY-Titanium-Drill-Bit-Set-23-Piece-48-89-4631/205879024?MERCH=REC-_-pip_sem_mobile-_-205879044-_-205879024-_-N
