What would I need to calibrate speedometer on a 2011 and 2013 ram 3500?
Unless there has been an update in the last 6 months that changed this, it will not only fail but will cause a transmission control module incompatible error. From there everything goes bonkers and you will need a different tuner/solution to go back in and correct the gear ratio and tire size to remove the error.

I have heard several people with this issue and had to use a Diablo handheld to make the changes...wonder if it's just older PAM'S or certain models or years etc...

Did you find a solution mate? I'm currently having the same issue. I've spent 2 days on this. AlphaOBD and HP Tuner. No luck. I have had the ratio changed before with HP Tuner. That was over 2 years ago. 3.06 to 3.50. 2013 SRT 300

The only way I was able to complete it without errors was to use a Diablo i2 or i3 to change it. This was like 2 years ago so maybe the new software is better but I know my Challenger would never work using HPT to do it. I would get TCM incompatible errors.
I was told the 8hps dont need to change the gear ratios or tire size

Definitely not that easy! I'm having big problems with this. Stuck in first, trouble codes... Stock 3.06 to 3.50 Wavetrac. 2013 SRT 300.
