    This video has some great information. I had been walking on these things wrong for three years. I use them for Halloween costumes primarily, and after making the adjustments to the side supports and springs, I feel much more stable when walking around. I thought I just had really bad balance.

    It seemed counterintuitive, but your suggestion to move the vertical bar outward made all the difference. Thank you.

    Im thinking of attaching a platform at the bottom. I seen dry wall workers added buckets under them im assuming to help balance. Do you think adding a wooden platfom slightly larger than the stilt foot would help me balance.. I'm thinking maybe about 6 inch wide by 12 long so slightly wider than the ruber footing

    I wouldn't suggest adding anything to them because it could cause you to slip easier, or get entangled with each other or something on the ground. If you're considering adding it only for stability, I would suggest working on getting them adjusted the way you like, and then practice walking on them at the lowest height until you get comfortable.

    Thank you for this video. I get lots of pain in my heels. Any ideas? I’ve been wearing them on and off at work for months. Lately I’ve been wearing them every day, 8-10 hours continuously.

  • @bmbcosplay5511

    @bmbcosplay5511

    I'd say the pain in your heels is most likely caused from over-tightening the foot straps. I've had the same issue with mine. I loosened the strap closest to my ankle and it took care of the pain. Just don't loosen them too much and you'll be okay. If that still doesn't get rid of the pain, maybe try wearing a different pair of shoes. Hopefully this helps, 8 to 10 hours is a long time to wear stilts, and you definitely want to feel comfortable.
