Y'know i was originally very hesitant on considering using stilts for cosplays, but you got me sold! Especially with the fact that there are stilts that let you run and jump around and that they don't take much time to learn how to walk in them. Will certainly be considering them now! Thank you so much.

The stacked Poly-foam works for Starscream but I definitely would like to try stilts on a build.....maybe Devastator? :)

Could you show us a video of attaching the stilts to your cosplays so we get a visual of how you attach the stilts to your cosplay legs?

Thanks. Just came from a con and I'm hooked on the idea of a stilted-cosplay! Not sure what character yet, but it's part of the journey! Your video helped!

Thank you for this, it’ll be really useful for my upcoming Halo Reach armor! I’m only 5’4, so I need to add ideally 6+ inches!

Krupky they can be intimidating, but it shouldn't take long to get a feel for them. Oddly enough, I actually feel more stable on them when I'm wearing the costume, than I do without the costume on.

The way that I make myself taller is stack some foam and split it in half, some in the heel some in the ball of my foot so I can have the organic foot bend

What brand are the ones you got? I'm planning to buy on Amazon, but there are so many, though I've heard that dura-stilts were good? Plus gyptool and pentagon

Im thinking of attaching a platform at the bottom. I seen dry wall workers added buckets under them im assuming to help balance. Do you think adding a wooden platfom slightly larger than the stilt foot would help me balance.. I'm thinking maybe about 6 inch wide by 12 long so slightly wider than the ruber footing

I made a transformer bumblebee costume for Halloween and I'm a little nervous walking in the drywall stilts. I have been practicing but I'm going to a nightclub. Any tips?

I did the same thing after making my first stilt costume. I went to a bar for a costume contest. It's pretty intimidating. Low ceilings, intoxicated people...but, as long as you have someone there to watch you, you will do okay. Just keep practicing on the stilts, keep a low stable stance, and take breaks with lots of water. You'll do just fine. Hopefully that helps!

Hey man, wanting to do 40k Primarch Guilliman. I'm 6'2 already so going with a 14 in stilt is going to be too much, but I do need to give a bit of a boost without turning my front legs into giraffe's legs. Any thoughts?

If you were playing a super tall character like master chief wouldn't your arms be really short and disproportionate? If so is there any way to overcome it?

  • @TheGlitches

Well, as a fellow cosplayer, I'd advise possibly making arm extensions (similar to a robot arm or something). Though arms shouldn't be that affected for cosplaying (the arms normally end a bit after the crotch. I know a few people IRL that are tall but their arms are shorter. If you do want to make the arms longer though, best bet is to do the extension ideas. There's some videos online of how to make some)

Is there a safe way to make the drywall stilt look like it has a shoe? Or is that probably very unsafe…?

  • @bmbcosplay5511

    @bmbcosplay5511

    2 жыл бұрын

Yeah I'd say it's definitely possible. You'd just have to make sure that the design doesn't interfere with the operation of the stilts, and won't get caught up on the ground, or the other stilt/shoe. I wouldn't suggest having the shoe completely surround the stilt, it would be safer to leave to bottom of the shoe open, so the stilt is actually still the part on the ground. Hopefully that answers your question, if not, let me know.

dont take it the wrong way but your camera presence/body language is very stiff and distracting. try and loosen up a bit and just move naturally.
