How To Add Weight Pockets to Your Harness on Your Backplate
In this video, we add some Dive Rite weight pockets to an adjustable harness.
The great thing about backplate setups is the versatility of the rig. Most pockets fit most harnesses/backplates
If you are ever questioning if a pocket will fit a style harness, shoot me a message

Tim is an awesome dive professional !!!!
Thank you! Short and sweet. Very informative. Helped a lot!
Very Cool, Thanks
Are those weight pockets upside down? Just curious as I always thought the pull tabs should be down

Totally up to you! You need to decide whether you want it easier to drop (also making it easier for them to accidentally drop) or easier to load the pocket up when the kit is attached to a cylinder, OR horizontally.. That is the beautiful thing about modular systems, make it your own
Where did you find those black versions of dive rites pockets?

Most professional divers would just attach any needed weights directly to their cam bands or waist harness strap. If you really want to use a pocket...it's easy to get a pair online for $10-$20 and again attach them to one's cam or waist band. No need for these big expensive cumbersome weight pockets seen in this video.

Hey Jonnie, appreciate the message! To each their own, they still need to know how to put them on ;)

That's all well and good when you're in a 3 mm or maybe a 5 mm when you add a P-weight, but when you get to a 7 mm or a drysuit, you're gonna need more weight than your cam bands or trim pockets can hold. You're gonna need a weight belt, or these bigger weight pockets.

@@bloodymarvelous4790 Yes very true. I should have specified my comment referred to warm water tropical recreational diving.
