What file do you use to paste the copied files? I tried to do this and removed all my games

Just got a powkiddy and this was a big help, I feel a little braver attempting to add games now, it’s a shame you can’t just plug the device into your laptop and drop the games in that way. I got pretty giddy at the thought of secret emulators being in there though, can’t wait till they show up!

its really easy to put games,, just put the sd on an sd card reader and just drop the roms in the folders

Hi! I got my RGB20s yesterday, but suddenly no games/emulators show in the carousel menu/main menu. Maybe I did something in the settings unintentionally? I have checked the SD2 on my pc and every file is there still, but not showing when I insert back in RGB20s. “Switch to sd2 for rom” does not help. Do you know what I should do?😅

Would depend where you got it from. Personally I would request a new sd as either the card is corrupt or the xml files arent working.

You can change the theme so I assume the screensaver would change with that. As for games.. You can delete and add what ever you choose. Just make sure to only delete game files. Dont delete the settings files in any of your emulator folders or youll lose the emulator 😇

Is tomb raider ps1 already installed on the console straight out the box or would I need to download it myself? Just bought one and I really want to play the Tomb Raider games lol

Im trying to add a couple of play station games. When i go to ROM GAMES and download a game it downloads a ZIP file. I can't extract it so I used WinZip and even then it still says not a valid archive. Help?

Maybe its just showing as a zip as your dont have a iso reader.. Have you tried copying the zip over to the psx folder to see if it picks it up?

Most common is .iso Any file format works just make sure its not zipped

Good video man. I’m stuck on getting a Saturn game to work. Downloaded snatcher which had about 12 different files and didn’t know what to do so added them all. It shows up in my list of Saturn games but I think the bios must not work (the one I presume is already pre installed). Can’t see where the bios files go either on either of the two SD cards 😢

Ive not had any issues running it. SA2 can be a bit slow when loading the chao garden

I tried exactly how you did it, The files are zip compressed, and they are in the psx folder.. idk why they aren’t working. They don’t play, it’s just a black screen with a under score flashing at the top left. Any tips?

Ive not used that model. I know that moving my sd from the powkiddy to the rg505 works fine. So I would imagine its the same if your copying and pasting the folders

really struggling here. downloaded the games they wont play at all. just get the screen with the flashing white line in the top left hand corner whenever I go to start it. it is not a zip file so not sure if it needs to be. the file types for these games im downloading from off that site are RAR and 7z

Open the 7z file. Create a new folder on your SD card in the relevant game folders. Then drag the files from the 7z file into the folder. Done

Hey man I have a question that’s been bugging me for days I got the rgb20s about a week ago and every emulator used to work fine but I was playing smash bros on the n64 emulator which uses retroarch and it froze and when I tried to run n64 again it just shows the little white line on the corner for a couple of seconds and then shows the ark os logo and then puts me back In the n64 game list and it’s for any emulator that uses retroarch like ps1 nes snes and so on I’m only able to play psp and gb gbc and gba pretty much even if try to boot into retroarch from the home menu it just boots me back to the main menu can you help me out please is there a solution I’ve been look for one for days thanks

Obvious answers would be to fully power down your device, clear the app cache or re download retroarch. But Ill look into it if those dont work. Currently making a few videos so Ill dig out my rgb20 and see what Else I can do with them

Try a different rom. But also not every rom will work. Youd need a rg505 for a nearly fully compatable device

I’m about to buy one, do I need to buy an extra SD card? I plan on putting some custom Pokémon rom hacks on it. Also, I saw there was a Nintendo DS section on yours. Is it true you can play DS games on this??? I thought it only went up to PlayStation 1.

@@Ursling So most games are top only. So the default view is full screen top. But for games that use both. The L2 R2 BUTTONS can either switch between the two screens or put both on at once. Those would be your 3 options. Personally I use the full mode so both screens show at once.

They arent supported. Whoever you got it off must sell multiple devices and is just using 1 sd card setup for them all.

Depends. PS1 games are .bin and .cue. You need both to play the game. Sometimes they are iso too. They all work fine though.

No it doesn’t work. It will just charge the battery. You have to physically remove the SD card and connect it to your computer.

Go to your search bar. Search partition manager. Find the box that says unallocated space. Right click amd assign a letter

Usual fixes would be to make sure its not a zip file or to try a different version of the rom. Also re send the file to your sd as sometimes the stock sd cards play up

Gamecube isnt supported on powkiddy. Dreamcast and n64 work but can be hit and miss with the more advanced games. Check out our rg505 video if you after solid perfomance handheld emulation. Powkiddys are great at pretty cheap for what it can do. I personally dont use powkiddy for anything other than gba and ps1 games.

Pressuming its the game card youve wiped and not the ui card. You could try a data recover app on your pc and select it to scan your formatted sd. It will hopefully find the games which you can restore. If not your going to have to manually download the games you want. Dm me on insta if you need more help

Providing you took the correct sd card out. I would try holding the power button down for 10 seconds. Or allowing a full charge. Double check the games sd card still shows up on your pc. If all thats not worked then your system sd card may be corrupt. As you didint get it from one of the suppliers I share, Im not sure on what your sd card exchange policy is but I am happy to see if I can get you back up and running myself if you like.

​@@bulmergames Thanks for getting back to me. So I downloaded some games a few weeks ago and it worked just fine. But when I tried downloading more today like I said the device wouldn't load. The sd card still shows up on my pc and its fully charged not but still not working. I guess it is the sd card. It's still the one that came with the device. I know its recommended to get a new sd card but I'm not sure how to go about doing that

For a new sd card its a copy and paste job. Mainly you need to make sure that you copy each game folder and the settings files in each folder. Otherwise your emulators wont show. I have been meaning to do an uograde guide but there is a few good ones already online.

I recently got one of these aswell is it safe to download a rom on to the card that it came with?

Thats very odd. Maybe download another set (too see if its a rom issue) Make sure your files have properly sent over and reboot your device

help pls, when I plug the SD card in, it's empty, no folders like in your video even though there's still games in it, im not sure if it's formatted or my SD read is busted

@@bulmergames yep, put it in an SD reader USB, plugged in and nothing was in there, I tried copy the Chrono trigger rom into it (straight in the USB without the folders), see if it recognizes, it didn't show up

Great video! Thanks I was wondering if you could do a tutorial of how to change the memor card. I reacently got my rgb20s with 64gb but I want to purchase a 128gb memor card but first I want to know if I onl need to copy all the files into the new memory card or if I have to do something else? I would apreciate if you could help me with that.

If its the game card your upgrading. You need to copy all the folders from your old game card. They have files that make your games show up in there. But yeh. Copy and paste everything on your game card to your new card and your fine. Just dont touch the card on the right of the screen

@@bulmergames Excuse me, I just got my new memory card. I copy everything from the old one into the new one. I started my console but after the ArkOS screen it got to the screen where is a line up in the screen and stay there. it never initialized the console. what else should I been doing?

Not all games willvwork. But always make sure they arent zip giles or try another rom
