    Really appreciate the close up views and the full completion of the piece you are demonstrating. Such a help when trying to learn something new! Thanks ! I am using the long narrow ends of common bamboo. Not sure if they will twist without soaking.... still learning its behavior.... Im experimenting!!

    Following your instructions I just put my first handles on a blackberry laundry basket. Didn't twist the rods, the blackberry was too stiff but could wrap it as you showed and then I covered it with strips of the blackberry vine cut without the pith.

    Hi Hanna when you crank the willow are you twisting it so it untwists to hold the shape like the way rope is made ?

    I twiast the rod to make it more flexible, and to stop it from snapping.

    HANNA Did you give a class of weaving willow in where are you .I am from new york knitting &crochet and also weaving . i like to leard to WHERE is classes .

    Yes I teach in Ireland. Classes starting again from September onwards.
