How to add a Facebook Chat icon to your landing page
Want to invite viewers of your Project Broadcast Landing Page (PBLP) to send a Facebook message to your business profile? All it takes is a little copy-and-paste of code!

What to do:
Open Meta Business Suite from your business page in Facebook. Click on your Inbox and go to Settings. There, you'll see a settings area for "chat plugin." There, you can customize the look and even add some automations. To install it on your PBLP, click "set up," select "standard," and follow the prompts. Copy the code and insert it into an HTML code block at the top of your PBLP design.
What to know:
Keep in mind that this code will also work if you share your landing page design with a friend. This is not good, because it means their site's visitors may message your page by mistake! So, before sharing a design, be sure to remove the plugin code first.

I have a question. On Facebook when you hover over a profile picture where someone is posting a comment, you can message them direct form a pop up window. That isn''t the case with the pop-up window of my profile picture. How do I edit my info to include my messenger link?

Are you talking about something on your PB Landing Page? Or just inside Facebook itself? I'm not sure I follow the question.

Hi, On my business page I'm not getting the 4 options under Inbox settings, I can only see messaging or get more messengers. Do I need to switch something on?

Unfortunately, it looks like Facebook has discontinued the plugin earlier this month: facebook.com/business/help/1524587524402327. I'm not sure what the reason is, but it just serves as a reminder that we can't rely fully on Facebook for communication with our audiences! You can still use your direct link to chat (for instance, m.me/sparkhub.app) and have a button link to that. Better yet, focus communication on texting through Project Broadcast, though it definitely stings to not offer both options to people as easily as before!
