Glad this vid could help so many people! :) keep on rockin ya’ll!
I was about to return it. Thanks, that feature is the reason I bought it.
Seen it on reviews over the years and thought mine didn't have it. Thank you very much for this vid....awesome work!!
honestly I bought and was so sad thinking mine didn't work 🤣🤣 thanks so much my bro
Was curious about this so looked it up, yours was first video suggested, jobs a good’n. Had to laugh though as just five minutes ago I was looking up those Deluxe Tweed patch cables and now I’m convinced 😂
Good information, thanks for telling us about it. I just got mine delivered today and I’m still trying to learn how to use it.
Thank you for this video. I bought a used secondary one to put on my other pedal board and thought it was a little faulty. Now I know it works fine. Cheers mate.
Omg 20 odd years of playing and I never knew !!! Excellent
Thank you!! Can’t find this info on other videos. You rock!
Dude, thankyou so much for this vid! You would not believe, (or maybe you would hence the fact you made this video haha) how many other videos on this pedal do not include this information.

supplement: In my case I had to remove the output patch cable. when the output patch cable was connected it did not work.
Thank you :)
Thanks! 🤠👍
This also works for the Waza version
Thanks a lot
Awesome :)
Thanks for the video. Just tried this on a brand new pedal, could not get it to work even after many attempts. Just for kicks, I removed the cable from the output... bingo, worked first time. Seems to me that over time, Boss might have changed the way this feature works. The manual that came with it does not mention removing the output cable (maybe it assumes it is not yet connected).

Thanks so much. I was bashing my head against the instruction sheet and trying the video instructions here and it was the output jack all along. Very new pedal, so they must have changed the procedure without updating any instructions like you said.

@@bernoulli884 Great stuff. They certainly hid that feature well 😂. They need to update the user manual. All my other tuners have the standard 'cents' scale, it was a surprise to me that I actually like the 'stream' mode on this pedal.

Yep, I had to remove cable from the output jack before mine worked as well.

So weird as usually on Boss pedals the input jacks double as power on switches when running on battery power. Hence if you leave a Boss pedal plugged in with a battery in there, the buffer circuit will constantly be on so they advise unplugging the input when not in use. For a PSU it doesnt matter though. But yeah no mention anywhere about the Output jack! How weird.
Ahhhh - thanks!

diminisheduk You're welcome :)
Thanks, I was wondering why mine was not working.
finally
Can I intonate Fender/Gibson type guitars accurately with this pedal? I can't do it with any clip-on Tuners so I've been looking at these second-hand (Warning - they ain't cheap!).

Yes you can. Clip-ons are junk.
Thanks, I thought my pedal came in broken
Thanks for that I got no manual with my one?
I just bought one and when I go to tune it says all the strings are in e and won't change any clue what the problem is
Does it stay in that mode when powered off?
@Skunkwerx
Жыл бұрын
Yeah, stays in whatever mode it was last set to.
Will it still work on drop tunings?
@Skunkwerx
2 жыл бұрын
Yeah man, can tune any string to any note you want. Sometimes tuners find it harder to track lower tunings but what helps is rolling the tone knob all the way back and using your neck pickup to tune. Helps the tuners track the note a bit better.

@@Skunkwerx thanks man, I just bought the TU3 today and the accupitch is not turned on by default. And we often play with drop D down to Drop C# in one set.
I tried both ways that suggested, it still won't go to accupitch...
Doesn't work pedal tu-3 waza craft ??

Not sure mate, I havent used a Waza version.
What is accupitch?

Just a mode where two green lights appear either side of a red light when tuning to show that the note is tuned and stable!

@@Skunkwerx Wow, that is totally misleading.
That is really not made clear in the instructions at all! Still can't get mine to work and I have tried the mode button trick as well. God I wish my old TU-2 had not died or I had gone for some other tuner rather than another Boss.

That sucks man. I know I mentioned in the video, but have you tried disconnecting everything, power/battery included, then plugging back in and going through the process again? Do you run it off the battery by the way? Im not sure if its hugely clear in my video as It was so long ago I made it, but I’ll type the instructions out just incase there is anything missing. Turn external power off (ie: PSU/wall wart or disconnect the internal battery) to pedal. Unplug the input cable from the pedal but leave the output plugged in. Turn your external power to the pedal back on (turn on PSU/wall wart or plug battery in). Hold down and keep holding down the stream/cent button firmly. Insert the input cable to the tu3. The pedal will ‘power on’. Quickly (within 3 seconds) release the stream/cent button and then tap it once again quickly. Then just power the pedal off and back on. Hope you get it sorted bud!
