For WAF, I was advised to put fake (or real) trees like a Ficcus in the corners which act as both diffusers and absorbers. So I did and then I hid some corner bass traps behind them !! :)

Years back I had a dedicated listening room.. The first thing I installed was "Room Tunes" - corner tunes... These pillow-like triangular pads were tacked up in all 4 corners. They really knocked out that hollow echo sound. Clap your hands and listen for an echo. These helped a lot and were close to the colors in the room so they didn't look out of place.

I too only see the Kindle version on Amazon. I guess I'm old school but I want a physical copy of the book not an electronic version. Is a paperback or hardcover book going to be available? If so, any idea when? This may be stupid but aren't the first reflection points determined by the listing position and speaker placement? Do you establish your listening position and speaker placement then add treatment at the first reflection points. If you do that, would that not change the sound and you have to do the setup again which may change the first reflection points. See the circle I'm talking about. I may be overthinking the whole situation that's why I need the book.

The wife might well be happy to go out and buy new soft well filled sofas and new rugs and pictures and all the other things wives just love to pick up ... the room may well have perfect acoustic conditions .... BUT the wife always ends up dictating ( yes !! It's true ..) where the speakers and sub are placed !! The left channel speaker goes behind the sofa over there in the corner .... put the right hand speaker over there .. behind the door !! You can put that funny looking cube thing over here and it'll make a good table for visitors ... does it HAVE to be attached to that cable .. MMM..??? Now DONT you dare move them ...they stay just where they are ....they look ugly !!

Without proper room treatments you will never let your investment reach its full potential, furniture is a start but ridiculous to mention if your serious about sound get a book on acoustic treatments and learn,I have seen this mans room with those great infinity speakers and that room is ridiculously untreated and also too small for them, it’s stupid to have them just to brag that you do,if any room needs to be treated properly it’s his 🥴

Just get speakers that go against a wall or corners problem solved Depends on your decor but changing screens are good at for first reflections especially lining the back with quarter of an inch of natural wool fleece you can move them to suit your room

Dude didn't you listen to the video 🤨 The question asked was about treating reflections with wife acceptance factor 👍🏾 99.9% of wife's aren't going to let you put up ugly changing screens (called room dividers here in the UK) filled with wool 🤦🏾‍♂️😂

You completely misunderstand WAF. This is the process you should follow. First you set up the room speaker placement sofa replacement etc to give you the optimal results. Then you convince your partner that the room setup is the way it has to be. If she loves you she will be happy with it. if she doesn't love you then it's time to find someone who does.
