I have gone 1, I have used these steps so far, I hope it helps me to get an A finally: 1-I study more than 20 hours per week 2-I have not attended to my office hours, but I have to use them as soon as possible 3-I usually do all of the practice problems in every chapter 4-instead of the dry-erase whiteboard, I use my tablet 5-I bought the model kit because it was mandatory in our syllabus 6-I use internet sources like Chad's videos, khan academy, and anything helpful on youtube

Got a B in Orgo 1, hoping for an A in orgo 2. It’s so much to memorize. Edit: Done with orgo 2, and I oddly found it way easier than 1. Aced it with an A : ) Your tips were very helpful. Memorizing the reactions and reviewing the mechanisms close to the test date was key.

Also work pertinent problems immediately after the lecture that will fix concepts in your mind. Things that will come easily immediately after lecture will become vague after a matter of hours. Never schedule anything immediately after the lecture with the exception of pushing electrons and so forth. May you succeed in all you desire!

I got a B+ in orgo 1. It was on zoom and I get hella districted when classes where online. My professor also has a thick Chinese accent. I could understand him it just took more effort witch meant I had to pay attention and study more. I really liked him as a professor and as a person so I decided to take him for orgo 2. I go to a small school and he’s the only one that teaches it. But he does have a heavy accent and we are required to wear a mask because it’s all in person. I can’t understand him at all anymore it’s a combo of the mask and the fact his back is turned because you know it’s chemistry and they use chalk.

2:23 If you want to get these schemes right, be sure to remind what changes between, for istance here, the halohydrin formation and hydroboration-oxydation since the molecule in this case doesn't show it; first reaction follows the Markovnikov rule and second one follows the Anti-Markovnikov one, meaning the result in a synthesis of a linear molecule will be different. My 2 cents since I'm losing my mind to organic chemistry 1 for months right now oof

This question is very dependent on your professor and school. My Ochem 1 class is using Wade, Jr., L. G and J. W. Simek. Organic Chemistry, Ninth Edition, Pearson Prentice Hall, Inc., 2017 Which also has a solutions manual that is extremely helpful. But our professor said that this textbook by wade is a more complex “ish” textbook for more of a chemist then student. So he gave us a PDF of a more condensed book called Organic chemistry 3rd edition by David Klein. Personally if I was you, I would use the textbook on your syllabus or what book ur professor says/recommends bc it is likely to directly follow ur professors PowerPoints, notes, and exams
