That was pretty funny about the snake Bev, I had a similar situation at one of my houses, I had rented the house and when you come in through the garage to your right was a half bath and to the left was the laundry room and straight ahead was the kitchen, well I only open the door to the washroom when I moved in to see what size washer and dryer I wanted to get didn't think about it much took some measurements shut the door, well I was so busy at my shop with my artwork, that months it went by and I didn't even think about getting a washer and dryer yet but for some strange reason I kept hearing these weird noises couldn't really figure it out well one night I knew that there had to been something in the house because of all the scratching and the noises so I'm going all through the house and nothing my cats were freaking out and I said well maybe it's in the garage so I opened the door to go in the two car garage looked all over the place couldn't find anything well I came back in the house, I said well just for kicks and giggles I'll check the laundry room but I had the door closed for months so I'm thinking well there can't be anything in there well I open the door, an out comes about 2 to 3 dozen birds flying all over the house in the kitchen on the living room upstairs in the bedrooms everywhere I couldn't believe it they were coming through the dryer vent and because nothing was hooked up yet they had an opening right to the laundry room, so is about 1:00 a.m. in the morning when all this happened so there wasn't time to call anybody I managed to get a couple of the birds but there was so many I needed a freaking net, called fish and game and the guys came over and couldn't believe how many birds are in the house pretty funny stuff 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

Greetings Bev. If it hasn't been mentioned yet, you should pull the dryer away from the wall and inspect the dryer vent tube for damage. There may be a hole that the snake used to get into the house. It is a good safety action to clean and inspect dryer vents at least once per year.

Very cool. I think the snake was also a work of art. BTW snakes can't hear, so shouting won't faze them. He knew his way back to "his" vent by smell. That's what the tongue is doing, sampling particles in the air and on the ground. They see pretty well, too. Too bad you didn't touch it while the lady held it. Their skin is cool and smooth, a treat for the fingers! My favorite display in the park was the Dragonfly Queen. Thanks for the snippets of your trip.

That snake looked at you like YOU were in HIS house. @4:20 The snake reminded me of a child when the parent wants to put the child on the ground and the child doesn’t want to get down. Okay, so there is so much in this video for only being 11:48. That snake HAD to go!!! Oh my goodness. I wouldn’t have been able to sleep in that house till it was gone. Thank goodness you figured out a way to make that happen. Second was seeing that gorgeous Smithers Park. My husband and I lived in Clear Lake in the late 70’s, (really dating myself,) when we both worked for NASA. Houston had a lot of unique things about it, but nothing like this unique and creative park. Reminds me of the IX Art Park in Charlotesville, VA. I live about an hour south but come in daily to come to work. Likewise in Galveston, there was nothing like the Pleasure Park. Mostly just a boardwalk, but glad to see this. Thank you so much for your treasured shares, Bev. I so enjoy them. Enjoy your time on the road and stay safe!!! ❤️

@@BecomingBev there are two things that I have no problem walking away from snakes and spiders and there are giant spider's out there too. I was out hunting and I was deep in the wilderness in this deep valley by my self. I seen something scurrying around the trunk of a spruce tree. By the time I got my scope on it. All I saw something about the size of a dinner plate back into a hole and what it looked like it slammed some kind of door thingy shut LoL. Big yikes!!!

I could trample myself over a snake sighting. Not my most masculine moments lol. Love the park. I gave my Mother’s old poppy trail dishes to an artist that uses them for mosaic.
