For our second episode of Huckberry Homes, we set our sights on the Oregon coast and flew out to see our friends @ben_moon and Sophie Kuller. Tired of fixing up other people's houses, Ben decided to spend the last few years crafting his own house from the ground up, while getting help from his friends, Dad, and Sophie along the way. This one-of-a-kind home now serves as a gathering place for creatives and surfers alike, nestled between the forest and Oregon coast.
On Huckberry Homes, we’ll be tapping into the most inspiring members of the Huckberry community to offer an inside peek into how they’ve crafted the place they call home. We will showcase everything from cold plunges to vinyl listening rooms, home gyms and offices, and other tools that inspire creativity and high-performing lives.
We would like to take a moment to acknowledge the Indigenous peoples who have stewarded the land on which this video was created. This area was the home to the Nestucca peoples and other coastal tribes until the mid-1800s when the population was decimated by diseases from settlers. Those who remained were coerced into a coastal reservation by the US government. Let us remember the histories and cultures that have shaped this land.

If only I had time! But with all the design work, paintings, museum work, gardening, etc and not forgetting family stuff… I always think of Groundhog day!
Stunning home, phenomenal location. I wish Sophie, Ben and their precious pups a long, wonderful life together is their new home. Just a note...sometimes background music is not needed. It felt intrusive at times when I just wanted to hear the words being shared.
Our wife and I have been traveling to Pacific City for years now. What a beautiful home on one of the bests spots along the Oregon coast! What a beautiful home and what a great edit. Thank you!

It's nice to see someone pay attention to accoustics. If you're not going to have curtains, carpets and soft furnishings need to compensate stop the house feeling like a commercial space.

I am an avid enthusiast of house tours, having immersed myself in a plethora of architectural styles, ranging from minimalistic to maximalist, urban to rural. However, I must admit that the particular residence in question stands out as the most remarkable one I have encountered thus far. My sincere admiration goes to its owner, who, despite grappling with a formidable illness, has succeeded in crafting a haven of serenity upon a picturesque expanse of land overlooking the majestic sea.
My new dream house. I've traveled the Oregon coast multiple times, and have hiked this area. There's something raw, wild, and untamed about the Oregon coast that I just love. Would move there in a heartbeat if I could. Amazing studio and house!

Welcome to PC! We had fun watching your house being built. We bought our house on Circle about 20 years ago. It was a small fishing village back then.
Love this series of taking a look into the spectacular homes of these unique people. I’m hoping we get more home tour videos in the future. It’s fascinating to take a brief peak into the lives of people who have chosen an unconventional path in life and have somehow made it work. Makes me dream of the day I can step away from the cubicle and live a life of exploration and adventure. Someday it will come. A person who admire, Anthony Bourdain, once said he never could’ve imagined that at 44 his life would completely change and that he’d get the chance to travel and explore the world. I’m still a young 30 now, so I have plenty of time. I will say, these videos do give me inspiration to position my life now in a way that will one day allow me to live the life I truly want to.
This is too funny, I just drove past this house about 10 times coming and going out of the city while at the beach for a work trip over the weekend! What a small world it got shown to me as a suggested video-haha.

They are indeed huge, there clothing website sells exceptionally well. The price point might be high for todays market but it’s good products.
