PLEASE SHARE THIS VIDEO TO RAISE AWARENESS! We initially planned on running a crowdfunding campaign for Mr. Kim, but couldn't find any suitable North-Korea-related charities or non-profit organizations that Mr. Kim wanted to be associated with. We were told by Mr. Kim that most well-known non-profits you may have heard of cannot provide the support he needs to execute the rescue missions as efficiently and effectively as he'd like. If you have any suggestions, please reach out to him directly ► mg5188@naver.com

Hey Asian Boss, thank you for all the great interviews and fundraising that you provide for us on KZread. I understand your concern but you too will be risking your safety and livelihood for the chance to help a complete stranger. I aplaud your empathy and concern but this isnt a job for anyone. You will be constantly on edge day and night not knowing when, how or who will be captured. You are just vulnerable as the ones who are escaping. I personally k ow these types of people in China. But I wouldn't advise anyone to jump into this without knowing anything about the entire prospect of a life like this. I personally do not think your life is worthy of this. I respect those who sacrifice for the greater good though.

Good on you - there are likely many ways you can help in support with less risk, helping in information, guiding resources, many things. They are right that direct work is dangerous, and the social credit scheme over there likely will make it difficult for even indirect support - that is why the scheme exists. What they dont say is that they are using the same words that were used to keep people from helping the Jews in and before ww2, defectors from the Stalinist Soviet countries, resistance fighters in every war. Nobody has the right to tell you to be that brave, but if you are, good on you

I know I sound “naive” and not knowledgeable when I say this, but what a world we live in when people are being starved and in danger in their own country but when they try to leave to find themselves and their families a better life, they are seen as traitors who need to be shot on sight or jailed. There’s been countless of different examples that this has happened in countries and other places but it’s always heartbreaking to hear this. I’m aware there’s borders and laws and more complicated than that but when people are trying to leave in fear of their own survival, we cannot ignore or put this aside

Its good that he shared the exact incidents happened to defectors. But I'm concerned about his safety and you may cover the face though. I read somewhere that The north korean might not see this but the army are instructed to do anything including watching youtube to discover things they called 'criminal' in their country. Dont just do this to get viewers but also to protect these poor souls. They have suffered enough

This guy is a real hero. It's heartbreaking to see how so many centuries have passed and we still face inhuman acts like human trafficking / slavery and so many people are denied basic human rights. Thank you, Asian Boss folks, for bringing more awareness on us.

I hope Kim will listen to Putin and actually take real steps toward denuclearization for a strong Korean Peninsula united in peace and harmony. Hopefully there will be a peace treaty to finally end the Korean War soon.

Sadly NK can’t just open up like China did, if Kim does so, the economy of the whole country will be immediately taken control by China since it’s great influence on the peninsula, Kim is afraid of turning into China’s puppet.

I really hope he stays safe after this interview. I've heard of North Korean defectors getting killed or kidnapped to be thrown in prison camps by undercover spies/hitmen.

And of course, nobody in the Western world has probably heard of this hero. Instead we hear about "heroes" in the newspaper who rescue dogs from tunnels and children. While admirable, this man deserves so much more attention and awareness indeed. As always, fantastic video Asian Boss.
