    This just goes to show the antiquated teaching styles of yesteryear are still so valuable and helpful today. This guy is “the old pro”. Filled with such life and traditional golf wisdom. I’m sure he’s got stories and seen many teaching philosophies. Love this guy!!!! Could hear him talk for hours.

    This guy is like the mad scientist of golf. I hope Jerome sticks with him to the finish line. The whole explanation of going from pulls and back to fat was me for many years. I some how stumbled on the the whole steep to flat thing by shear luck at times, but didn't know what was happening when things went south and inevitably got very frustrated from the confusion. Mike has summed up the dilemma in many different ways throughout all these video's. Amazing. I admit, I hate the ground and have learned to pick it clean out of ignorance or necessity depending on how you look at it. Time to get some string and setup that drill station.

    You haven't been playing golf for 30 years. You STARTED playing golf 30 years ago. According to your numbers, during the past 30 years you played a maximum of 75 games (noting your 5 year hiatus @ 3 games for year for 25 years). That's the equivalent of maybe 2-3 years of golf for a working man. To put this in perspective, last year I played over 200 games of golf, but I'm retired. Having said that, 89 is a very good score for anyone who has only played approximately 75 games. Good luck on your journey.

It is easy to build -- 2 alignment sticks glued into pre-drilled bricks (use 5/16 masonary bit), used old fashioned clothes pins to hold the strings taunt. I can hit the ball without touching the strings yet still manage to pull some shots left, so what gives? Need some additional clarification.

    Uncocking the left wrist naturally gets the club face back to square. If you don’t let it uncock and hold onto it you will always struggle. It’s not anymore complicated than that. The problem is instructors are teaching rotate first, keep a bent trail arm and the ball goes right. After hitting numerous shots right your body will compensate with your hands and arms to square the club face up, massive flip, thin and fat shots. The more efficient way is to straighten your trail arm right from the top of the swing. You will uncock the lead wrist and square the clubface automatically. No more flipping and dead center contact. Most will call this casting but it is illusion. Try it and take a high speed video. You will be pleasantly surprised. Your trail arm will not be straight at impact it’s not possible at full speed.

    Interesting you should say that. My very first instructor Leo told me to punch the right palm straight back right from the top of the swing and sure enough, on video you could see the down cocking effect you are talking about. There were a lot of other things wrong with my swing so I never really put it altogether, but I remember that lesson with Leo Van Wart in Okinawa.

We both hit the high string on the follow through with first full practice swing, but she was #37 and I was #38. What he says about the side spin being created by the club face closing during the period it is in contact with the ball isnt correct.

  • @BigBamboosh

    @BigBamboosh

    Yeah… I had to re-listen to that section a few times… for draw spin club face is open relative to target but closed relative to path. I don’t think he contradicted that fact. It was the comment about face closing through impact gives hook spin that feels off.. reverse of that is face opens through impact to hit a fade… that doesn’t make sense. That also seem to counter intuitive to the gear effect.

    Hi Jerome. Golf ultimate secret. The Centralized Golf Swing that no Golf professional would ever teach for obvious reasons. Once in your proper golf posture and you have aimed you club to your target zone: The golf swing is simply to apply consistent pressure against the club’s grip using the pads of your trail hand little finger throughout your entire golf swing while allowing your body to automatically rotate ( not sway) back and forth. That is it! « Golf’s Magical Trail Little Finger » No one else teaches this one swing thought; but trust your own swing and It will work for a book full of good reasons of why and how it does. If you like what I wrote pass it on. The cost is nothing and the happiness profound. Cheers 😃👍⛳️🥂

    @@swisstrader Hi Paul there is no link. However google ‘the twirl waggle’ and watch Jack Nicklaus to begin to understand more of how it works and why. I will be making a video to demonstrate the easiness and effectiveness of my new swing when the weather is better in NH. What is your golf experience? Allow me to explain further. To begin with start your backswing with a 1/4 turn counterclockwise turning of the handle with your lead hand to the top of your swing and then as your body has to rotate back to your lead side; do a 100 percent clockwise turning of the handle of your club with your trail hand using pressure applied to the grip of your club with your trail little finger all the way to the finish of your swing. That is it your entire body will respond automatically. Hope I made myself clearer. Personally I have read and heard thousands of words about the golf swing over the 45 years of playing golf and nothing regularly had worked for me until I discovered the power of my trail little finger pressing against my club. Nothing to sell; just free information. You may laugh at me all you want; but it works and no one in the world has ever taught it. Cheers 😃👍⛳️🥂

    Slowly tighten that pinky against the golf grip. The goal is to elevate the club head on backswing, which allows you to miss the lower string going back, and helps to set your wrists as you rotate to top. Take your left hand grip only and get into address position, now tighten your pinky without moving club, it should elevate off the ground. Now incorporate that into your backswing, wrists should set around waist high, then rotate to top of backswing. Big key is also a soft right elbow that starts to FOLD after setting your wrists I don’t think slowly tightening the pinky is really the ultimate secret. It is part of a solid way to start your backswing. Setting your wrists at a repeatable position on backswing, then properly rotating to top of swing is probably what separates good and bad golf swings.

    Hey Jerome! When you get invited to play in the Masters, please send me a ticket. 😂 I play here in MNL but I don’t think the sport loves me. 🏌️‍♀️

    I’ve never seen anything like this before. I’m going to try and make this device myself and go to town. Lessons just isn’t cutting it other than me cutting checks🤪 well done #36!🏌🏽
